Rivian sales are not doing great. In fact it doesn't seem like any EV sales are great these days. If Rivian gets the R2 out next quarter at the mid 40's price point then forget about it. Then there's the Subaru Trailseeker coming out next year too. Not as much off road capability or HP (37x hp) but I suspect it will be much cheaper. No price yet though.The more I think about this, it's cheaper than a Rivian, and they seem to sell just fine.
I just checked the build schedule, at full ramp up by April, they're only building 1000 units a month, so it'll probably do fine.
One thing would be interesting to get straight, is $65k+ 2K shipping for the Recon Moab trim or for the entry level trim? If for the high end Moab then perhaps there's a chance of getting this down into at least the $50's for a lower level trim.
