As the title suggests, I used a Banks Pedal Monster for a couple of weeks before deciding I didn't want to continue using it. Shift points are all wacky, especially going from 2nd to 3rd.

Outside of a dealership, what are some fairly affordable options I can use to reset this TCM and start a re-learn.

Had no luck fully disconnecting both batteries for a prolonged period of time.

Is JScan capable?

What setting were you using?

All the Pedal Monster does is remap the throttle pedal, like if you pushed on the throttle harder/faster than you actually do. It does not change anything in the engine or transmission programming.

JSCAN does have a transmission relearn procedure. I don't know exactly what it does, though. I do not know if it resets/relearns shift points.

Something doesn't seem right. As @Badunit stated it only remap the throttle map. It doesn't do anything with the transmission. I have had mine installed since I got mine and have no issues with it. I have removed it a couple times to take it to the dealership for warranty work, disabled it when I am off-roading and never had an issue. If you really think it is the Pedal Monster I would suggest contacting Banks Support. They are very good. I have worked with them a couple times and they are always willing to assist and dig into an issue and get back to me with an answer. If you want to do the Transmission Relearn you might read through this thread and see what it says:

JSCAN can do two types according to users on their official FB page.

Sorry for late reply. Not sure why it'd be surprising for shift points to get out of wack when each setting on the controller forces the truck to shift differently. I admittedly tried the highest setting 2-3 times and ripped the truck off the line for fun but the bulk of the driving took place in City or Sport.

I havent thought to reach out to Banks because I'm not really sure what they could possibly do. Contemplating just taking it to dealer for a TCM flash + re-learn or a reputable tranny shop.

Unfortunately nothing of use in that thread
