At some point people will have to accept that the V8 is old stuff and buying on sound alone won't work. Eventually, the V8 will die - it's going to happen at some point, especially on light trucks - midsize trucks.
There's little point to them other than sound - and I was raised on V8s when they were true muscle cars and the big blocks and REAL hemis were a thing.
Hopefully not in my lifetime. 😆

Can't say when, no one can. It's an up-side-down world and the world is controlled by a few short-sighted people

The V8 rumblings is what gives a lot of vehicles their soul.
Without that incredible V8 sound rumbling under the hood, I just never get that same feeling or enjoyment out of a little turbo 4 or 6 banger under the hood.

I could care less about the screaming little small displacement 4 banger turbos, be it they are built bullet proof or still a POS, I still don't like them either way.
No soul to them.

Just IMO.
Do you not own either of the turbo 6 Rangers in your signature?

Just giving you a hard time. Im a V8 fan, too.

I've been through that and grew out of it. I still have my one for now, but not really sure why.
Otherwise I've always been a fan of the I6.

Never had a straight six (im not for nore against them).

Grew up building V8 with my high school best friend.

We are still at it today.

Long as I can there will be *something* in the driveway with 8 cylinders. Nothing to me is quite the same.

I do and I wish everyday that they had V8s under their hoods. Lol
They have more power then most V8s , but lack the soul and feel of a v8.

‘I have even tried to find specialty shops like there are for the Jeeps to try and see what it would cost to drop a 5.0 v8 in one of them. Lol Doesn’t seem to be any shops specializing in v8 swaps for them.

How about a 1,000 HP 4.0 running a stock block (bored of course)
The old record was about 860 - that has since been broken.
