Finally got my shocks rebuilt. I cannot believe how much better the Jeep feels. I swapped these onto my Sport S and ran them for a year. One of the front shocks started to squeak and was driving me nuts so I put the junk Rubicon Fox shocks on and ran them for 6-months while I saved my pennies to drop a grand having these rebuilt. It was so worth the money and time. I forgot how amazing these shocks are. I wish I had done it right away now.

I used @Blake Thomas at All-Terrain Shock Solutions for my rebuild. Fast turn around, detailed breakdown of each shocks rebuild as well as pictures. Blake took the time to package my shocks better as well when return shipping them. If you are on the fence I will say it was worth it to keep these great shocks. Expensive, but such amazing shocks.

One word of caution. Don't use the plastic tote like I used or buy two and double them up. My shocks made it back by the skin of their teeth. I thought it'd be fine but at 60lbs combined, these are some beefy shocks.

Gotta say that @Blake Thomas at All Terrain Shock Solutions was great! I did the swap shock exchange. He beat the promised date by a few days, the rebuilt shocks were easy to install (he provided great instructions as well), work great and he got me my core deposit back within a few days. Highly recommended!

Did you need to add spacers for the Rubicon < Mojave mounting brackets?

What is the price range for rebuild?
I am running them with these brass bushings in the front. I didn't want to drill out the front and these have worked out great. The rear bolts in. I am stock Mojave height though.

How many miles were on the shocks when you had them rebuilt? Was it just the squeak, or was ride quality suffering too?

I don't know for sure that the ride quality hadn't diminished but there was nothing bad at all. The rebuilt ones are firmer and seem to take hard hits better but that could be my memory. The squeak was driving me batty and that was the main reason. Mine had about 50k on them. No leaking or anything and if the squeak wasn't so annoying I likely would have ran them longer.
