(In progress)
If you look at the other similar named thread you'll see all the lighting I did on a buddies car trailer a year or two ago.
Well, I love lights and stuff. I don't have a car trailer, but whatever.
I use my 5x10 a lot and recently put on new tires, a spare tire mount and tire cover, and a nice tongue box and bought some straps, bungees, cargo net, bottle jack, and lung wrench to keep on the trailer.
Anyway, I had some lights and brackets laying around from past projects and installed those. These work with reverse from my truck.
In my junk box i had a red LED strip light. I put that in the tongue box so I could find stuff at night. It is tied to marker lights.
While at Hobo Freight to get something else i caved and bought new LED tail lights. I also added the amber marker lights to the front corners.
I attached this project box i had to the front of the tongue box to hold the electronics. The remotes will be used to control the various lights independent of truck operation.
I switched the trailer to seven pin so I can utilize reverse and power from the truck.
I left off here last night.
The trailer will have backup lights, underbody lights, and lights to illuminate the deck.
In reverse, the underbody lights and backup lights will come on with the truck.
When not in reverse I should be able to control the back lights and underbody lights independently via remote.
The deck lights will work only via remote, though I may add a switch on the box to control them from there as well.
