I left the jeep for a week at the airport over the holidays and when I got back it started but seemed to be a little slower start than normal. Drove home, no issues, messages or warning lights. Next day is when I got that message and get it every time at start up. Aux switches won't work for a couple of minutes and voltage reads 14.4V at start up and does not drop, was 13.4v the day I drove it home from the airport. My only guess is one of the batteries is on its way out. I did install a TAZER a couple of weeks after I got the jeep and have the start stop permanently disabled. I checked the battery connections and all is as it should be. Any thoughts......I am waiting for the battery to just give up the goat. The wife has has 2 batteries replaced under warranty on her 2023 JL.

Pretty common signs that one or more batteries are on their way out. I wouldn't wait for them to go out. Get 2 new ones. All will be well in JEEP world again. Of course, as long as nothing else is going on I guess.
At the very least put them on a charger.

my 2021 JT had the main battery fail last year, my aux is still trucking along. I have 33k miles on the truck.

My remote start was the first indication i had an issue. it would click and not start.

no, i have not bench tested my aux but i have no indication it is failing and hopefully i dont get stranded like ive read from other forum members.

94RPLT is what i put in it on 6/18/25. no issues since. aux 14 is what i have noted for my aux battery from oreillys

You could start cheap and do the aux disconnect and pull fuse 42, see if your voltage stuff changes. If it improves, then your aux batt is dying. Then decide if replace or stay isolated.

If not, its your main/both.

thanks all, this is what I was thinking. I will try disconnecting and isolating the Aux to see if the issue goes away, something I have been procrastinating about anyway. Then will get an upgraded main battery if the Aux is not the issue as the dealer won't do anything about it until its dead. Both times the wife's batteries went it would jump start but wouldn't charge and the dealer wouldn't touch it until it was on their lot and was verified dead in the morning, each time was a 4 day ordeal and more of a pain in the ass, I would rather just buy a new quality battery and keep on trucking. 40K miles and this is the only issue to date

I had the same thing happen back in October, and I had the dealership test my batteries. Issues resolved after a full charge of both batteries. So far I haven't had any more issues. I was told that I wasn't driving enough or long enough to get the alternator to have chance to properly charge my batteries.

I’ve noticed my horn is weak. I’ve had some digital display issues too. Aux battery is fading. I had a quote from the dealer. $300 parts and labor. Does this sound right?

I had the exact same thing happen in my 2020 Sport S. I knew it had to be battery related because I was still on the OEM batteries. I did not have any issues up to that point so I figured 5 years out of stock batteries was a good enough run and replaced both the main and aux. I did also hook both new batteries up to a charger prior to install to make sure they were fully charged before installing them.

I guess 5 and almost 6 yrs from the stock battery is good. Time to replace before a long drive.

I drive 80 miles RT a day for work so I dont think that is an issue. I isolated the Aux and it ended up being the main.
