I had the Falken 35's that you listed and currently have the 37" BFG K02's. I went to 37's because I regeared, but also HATED the ride quality with the falkens. The BFG's are a 1000x's better IMO. I can't speak for the Goodyears, but do not go Falken.

In the pic the Falkens are on top, and the K02's on the bottom, if you want to see the size difference mounted. Hope this helps.

One thing is for certain, the OEM Falken A/Ts are a huge step forward from the JK OEM Rubicon tires. I hated mine so much. I’ve driven enough JLs and JTs and known enough people to have them that liked them to know this for a fact.

Hey folks,
I really hate posting this, there’s a million threads out there on the subject. I’m debating between these 3 specific tires and sizes as far as being cost effective and needs. So, new MojaveX which will have 2 inch AEV lift. Occasional trail/dirt road, mostly mall crawler. No towing at this time. Not looking to regear at this time. Want 3p snow rated.

My dilemma on these 3 is that the 37’ KO2’s weigh 4-4.5 pounds less than either of the 35’s in this list. So in actuality, the rolling mass would be less. 🤷🏻

I’d like to stay on topic with these 3 tires if possible. TIA
Are you running stock 4:10s if so based on your stated driving style the K02's are a solid choice.

I am currently running 35" K02 and have wheeled them in AZ, Utah, and Colorado and had ZERO issues.

As for freeway I hit 8th all the time unless there is a headwind then 7th or in really bad conditions 6th. This is with a 3.5 Game Changer lift, front and rear MC bumpers, full undercloak skids and a winch.

I am upgrading to 37s and the KO2 is on the top of the list to keep the unsprung weigh down. One of the Christmas upgrades I did is go to 4.88s so 37s will not be a problem.

It's just a no name Chinese cap. At half the price of a smart cap which I really wanted, I thought it was worth a shot. It has been great so far, besides the locks freezing in the winter
Had to read this twice.I thought I read Chinese crap.

What’s everyone do for the spare?……..do you just buy a random same size tire and put it on the spare rim (assuming it will fit) or?

How much longer will ko2’s stay in production? Ko3’s have been out in limited sizes for awhile now…finding a new one if you tear one up might be a challenge.

You always want a matching size spare...... You can fit up to a 37" under the bed. I bought a set of 5 matching wheels with the intention to rotate the spare in.

I have the Mojave with 2” AEV lift and essentially the same use case (minus the snow) described in the OP.

I bought the 315 KO2’s used from a local guy along with the Borah wheels. I’ve put at least 75,000 miles on them since I got them and they probably have another 10k miles left on them. A lot of long distance highway travel for trips. No heavy wheeling. Very little towing.

I’ve been very pleased with them even as they have worn down. Pretty quiet, comfortable ride, and no roaring. Never had a problem with them balancing. When I need a new set it will more likely than not be another set of KO2’s, assuming they are in production, or a set of KO3’s.

I’ve considered the 37’s as an option but the weight increase is real and unsprung rotational mass has a serious impact on the vehicle regardless of the vehicle curb weight.

I have a 255 spare and 285 tires. I blew out a back tire and drove home on it. I was super careful and didn’t accelerate on any corners because I didn’t want to mess up my trashlok. It was fine, but not recommended. I have a good 285 spare, but I need to find a spare 18” wheel. My factory overland spare is 17”.

Don't buy the KO2s thinking they're 37s, they measure in at like 35.5"; I have them on my JLUR......great tires tho.

Nice an quiet, I've averaged 65k miles per set and wear nice and even if you rotate them every oil change (5k) for me

The stock Falkens have impressed me too. I've given them a rough life, driven cross country, towed, a lot a lot of gravel and never suffered a puncture (knock on wood). I've previously replaced the OEM tires within a few months on every vehicle I've owned but this one. They're not great on slick mud but it's not their designed use case anyway.
+1 on the Falkens. I was a die-hard Nitto guy until the last two Jeeps. My 24 JLU Willys came with Falken M/Ts, and my 25 JTRX came with the A/Ts. The M/Ts still look good at the 35k mark, and so far, the A/ts feel and perform fantastic on the JT. I will most likely step up to 35" Falken A/Ts when the time comes for new shoes on the JTR.
