They can sell what they make just as it is. They can't even fix the crap they make so why change it. The oil cooler has been an issue since the 3.6 was introduced . Now we got cam issues. Rear locker issues and many more. Do they fix them,,,, no. But they will void your warranty if they see mods and wish you a merry Christmas.
Jeep doesn't make the rear axle. And for the sensor, they have changed that over the years. The oil cooler design was changed as far as the o-rings. Some of this is up to the vendors, the suppliers - Jeep doesn't make many of the parts used.

At a shop in flagstaff, in I think 2023, I was asked what state you could buy the wild hobo edition Jeep. Just goes to show that there are so many ridiculous versions, that one person thought that was a thing. I joked that he wouldn’t want that version. The special edition people keep swapping parts to try to get it right.
Ha!! When I was looking for my wife’s 4Runner I pulled my Gladiator in about a week after adding the ā€œBanditā€ to the hood. The guy at the stealership said ā€œI’ve never seen that package beforeā€. I told him it was fairly hard to find.

I took it as a compliment that he thought it was a factory installed decal though.

I had a 2013 Camaro SS / 1LE. While the 1LE wasn't standalone like if you bought a Rubicon or something, it was an option package you added to an SS. If you weren't big into Camaros though, you'd have no idea what it was. It had a black hood and spoiler, a chin lip, and a manual transmission, rear gear, tires, wheels, struts, and sway bars that were all specific to that package. It was meant for auto cross / HPDE type events.

Anyway, I was nerdy and put a 1LE decal on the front fenders where 'Camaro' used to be.

Goodness I had to answer so damn many questions about that car after that šŸ˜‚

And that was probably the point. Car people like talking about cars. I approve. Not that you need that.

Low key I did it BECAUSE I wanted to call attention to it being a relatively special car.

Victim of my own work.

Years ago I had my jeep in the San Diego ORW off Balboa. One of the guys said hey check this out. It was a Wrangler badged as a Rubicon. Then I saw the front axle. It was a 2WD. It took a minute to register in my head. Before seeing it, I didn’t even know they produced 2WD Jeep Wranglers.

I have an idea for the Willy’s that’s similar. But it can’t happen for a while.

I don’t either. But to each their own. Except angry grills. That’s just wrong.

I just bought a 2025 Rubicon Gladiator and I was really surprised they don't offer 35s from the factory. They need to fix that. I guess I can just go buy another set of whees/tires. Orjust put 35s on the factory wheels.

Before the hood differences, debadging the Jeep was a security measure. Most ā€œhit a lickā€ car thieves didn’t really know what they were looking at but ā€œRubiconā€ on the hood meant a bigger pay day. Recently there have been a lot of Jeeps ripped off down in my area. Usually in the parking lot. I haven’t seen any instances of them being taken at stoplights or anything.
