For sure. With little tractors you gotta leave favorite colors at the door unless there is a feature or capability you just HAVE TO HAVE. That dealer experience is nice.
I dunno. My bright RED tractor is gonna look HELLA cool with a white RACING stripe down the hood!!! :turkey:

I went with the blade because of cost. I’d prefer the blower, but didn’t want to spend the extra cash to get the third hydraulic function in front.
Weird that I didn’t get a notification that you replied to me. Anyway, You getting the blade in back or a pusher for the front? What kind of snow accumulations do you normally get in a snow event? I’m about to get 12-18”:(. Hopefully you get it before the next storm.

Third function in front is handy though. Think grapple ;). Tractors are like Jeeps, so many accesories to buy.

That is weird. I ordered an ssqa, so front, 72” blade. Currently it will be manual angle, but it’s upgradable to hydraulic angle if I ever add a third front function. UHMW edge with adjustable guides. It has shipped, but won’t be here until Tuesday, so one more storm with the bucket. Our storms vary, but can be pretty big. This drought is making for a crappy snowpack year though.

Here’s a link to it. Several configurations to choose from. I’m excited to try it out.

I can recommend this vendor as well. Good customer service people there from my experience. Knowledgeable.
I like them as well. I have their hitch receiver, and the rolling cart for the backhoe. Both are very well made.

Family members have been asking me to make jewelry boxes for birthdays, etc.; so here are a couple of my latest projects:

I play in a bunch of punk rock bands, collect, build, and repair vintage amplifiers, do a lot of music recording and session work.

Some of my Les Pauls...

I fancy myself a hobbiest woodworker, but amateur in comparison to that work.

I had a full wood shop in my spare garage for a couple years, so I can appreciate this kind of work. Good job.

Walnut is my favorite but I also like Purple Heart.

The sad part about it is there's no "real way" to make money at it. I mean I'd love to start a little retirement business doing this stuff but people don't realize the cost of custom wood items. As an example, the box in the first video was for my mother-in-laws husband's birthday. She basically commissioned a jewelry box but had no "specifications" and gave me free reign on style, wood type, etc. The wood and hardware was around $200, but the labor (like most things) is the killer. If I was to make that same jewelry box and just charge my labor at minimum wage, it still winds up over $800. If I charged a proper Maker's wage (using the low end of the scale), it shoots to over $1400. But I enjoy doing it and when the fam covers the material cost it softens the blow a bit...LOL.

Here's the one I just finished for myself. I still need to decide what I want to do for the base...something better than my wife's greatgrandmother's sewing machine, which I still need to refurbish...lol:

I use walnut a lot; it is so nice to work with hand planes and chisel. Purple Heart...not so much. I like the look of purple heart but once it starts to oxidize, it goes greyish and loses what makes it so cool.

I'll tell you the wood I really like using is Caribbean Rosewood:

This one is Caribbean Rosewood and highly figured Curly Maple. I called this one my "Starry Night" box because the swirls in the Rosewood remind me of the Van Gogh painting.

Well...it's about all I do anymore since I retired. This should be the new mantra:

Get Retired. Get Better.
