Using ours for our family Christmas trip. Bodega fridge worked perfectly for us there and back šŸ™Œ

Freaking love this thing. My wife and I kept saying ā€œI’m so glad I bought this thingā€ and then argued over who gave permission to who to buy it 🤣

And now the slider for the fridge…it’s not bolted for now cause I’m not doing any off-roading anytime soon but we do long-ish road trips A LOT and we wanna be able to easily pull the fridge in and out.

Now I’m designing brackets to mount my two spare Alu-Cab cross bars on the inside just above the fridge. Plan to have them made by Send Cut Send and then mount the bars with a large 4’ x 4’ aluminum plate ontop of them.

Idea is to have a light-ish but sturdy shelf above the fridge and such for quick access out of the side windows.

More to come on that!

Can anyone tell me what those two black plastic rectangles at the bottom of the glass panels are? Seems like it was added on the newer version of the contour canopy. Tried asking dealers and waiting for their answer. Thanks in advance.

I recently got a daily commuter/for fun mountain bike and have gone balls to the wall buying crap for it lmao but, unfortunately getting it home in the bed of the truck with the tooper on and fridge in the back was an embarrassing undertaking…thus, I got a hitch carrier that I love for the price.

The Contour canopies are juuuust too short for a 27.5ā€ mountain bike to not fit standing up (without lowering the seat and/or compressing the front suspension/removing the front wheel).

So, this is where I’m at today! I am thinking of throwing a carrier up top of our topper for a front fork mounted set up, and just out the front wheel in the bed of the truck. But for now, this is working great!

Thanks for all the helpful suggestions, y’all! 🤣

Fortunately, I was able to find power for the third brake light of the Alu-Cab from the passenger tail light and then power for the cab lights from the drivers side bed light.

Took a few hours cause I messed up the ground on the brake light which took a minute for me to identify but everything is working well thus far!

My wife and I wanna run a fridge in the bed which means power back there and a bed slide I think.
Do you have any photos of how you did the wiring I havent been able to find any clear breakdowns on how to wire it up

I didn’t know which side wiring was for what lights, so that took some creative figuring out but the passenger side is for the brake light and the drivers side wiring is for the interior lights.

I ran new wiring through a tiny hole into the space behind the bed (behind the fender well though) and spliced it into the power of the bed’s interior LED on the drivers side.

On the passenger side, I did the same thing to get behind the bed, then pulled the taillight, using this forum I figured out which wire is the power for brake light, and I spliced into it for power.

For grounds on both sides, I used self tapping screws into sheet metal behind both side’s taillights.

Works great!

I don’t have pics of the process but I can take pic of the hole I ran the wiring through.

Thanks for the reply! Did you just use some T taps to splice into the wires? I was thinking about just doing a T tap into the 3 break light wire

That’s exactly what I did for the power for both.

Then just quick disconnects inside the topper in case I ever wanna take it off, I can quickly disconnect and tuck them inside the bed.

I’ll take pics shortly.

Okay so the top hole on both sides is where I finessed the cable through. Not hard but a bit tight. Could’ve bored it open wider and put a rubber gasket in there too.

I used a t-tap into the power behind this light…be careful pulling the light out, I broke the clip so had to buy a new $30+ one šŸ˜…

Same logic on this side for the brake light…t-tap into the brake light power behind the passenger tail light. I’d remove it to show you, but it’s more work than I felt like doing at the moment tbh, sorry.

These are the quick disconnects I used. They’re from the Home Depot and come in packs of 4 or 6 I think. They’re SUUUPER nice, I wish I would’ve known about them a decade ago when I was doing wiring on my old JK.

And this is how I cleaned the wiring up! Though I’ve since realized I need to redo them so if I disconnect the harness, I don’t have to cut a bunch of zip ties off the clips šŸ¤¦ā€ā™‚ļø

If anyone wants a super super simple way for the dome lights I just ordered this off Amazon it's basically for a power wheels and clips right on the wires tried to post my own vid to show but it didn't work so hears where I got the inspiration. Works like a charm and no need to touch the jeep in any ways

Yeah I think others posted in here wayyy back that they do that. Totally works, I just wanted it to be a solution I never have to worry about ā€œdid I charge that battery? Did I remember to put the battery back in?ā€ type situations hahaha

Maybe this is on this thread somewhere, but I cannot seem to find it. Can someone please show the positive pressure vent for this canopy. Is it on the upper part of the front wall? I think I have seen it in some pictures, but not all so not sure. Still doing my research and toppers and wanting to figure out some things.
