Looking for mounting Amber Chase Dust Light Ideas

2020 Gladiator with factory soft top and soft canvas toneau cover, upgraded rear bumper and tailights.

We are looking for mounting ideas for rear facing amber dust/chase lights that will work with the factory toneau and soft top.

Please share ideas and pictures and brands with part number if you can.

Has anybody use the blade style 48" between tailgate and bumper?

I used a set of KC lights using a steel plate I purchased off of Etsy that replaced the reflectors They were a perfect fit

I’ve been looking at the blade style but can’t find the features I want which is to use strictly for desert runs for a chase light so I can be seen better from behind. I’m looking for a temporary mount that plugs into the trailer plug and want to put removable brackets that will stick out from the sides of the toneau cover. Still working on that one.

What tail lights are you running? I've got the Oracle flush mounts and have been thinking about getting their euro compatible back up lights to swap into mine. They come with white and amber LEDs in them. Tapping the ambers to flash would be pretty easy.

I'm curious if the ambers will be bright enough for chase lights. If so, this might, MIGHT be enough for me to give Oracle tails a try despite the failure rate of them. "Integrated" chase lights would be one less thing to have to mount to the rear of the truck.

They are designed to be bright enough to be used as turn signals. Maybe @ORACLE Terry can give us more clarification?

The trick to “being seen” especially if you’re creating the dust cloud behind you OR if you are an emergency first responder in the day or night during thick fog is to have lights that strobe in “spot” and “linear”. The “spot” part of the lens with the Strob N More I have posted will pierce through fog and the linear part of the lens will give a wider reach.

The bar I have that displays both flood and linear is the E series bar from Strobes N More. They also have the smaller single size that throw light in the same way i described. A flick of the switch and they can be steady burn and will blow KC lights out of the water.

What you’re after are chase lights but want to be seen. The lens technology with Strobes N More takes it that much further than what’s typical. I use mine for road side emergency strobes. As I said, they can also burn steady

edits include:
Change “flood” to spot.
Change Speed Tech Lights to Strobes N More. (Currently running both)
