Hi everyone, and thanks for putting up with a rookie question. My '25 Mojave has the factory steel bumpers with orange tow hooks. I'd like to paint the hooks body color ('41). Do I have to completely remove the bumpers to get to the hooks in their entirety? Again, thanks for the help.

The tow hooks are sandwiched between the bumper and the frame rail. Through bolted. No way to removbe the hooks without also removing the bumper, unfortunately. On the bright side, it's not all that hard to do in your driveway with hand tools.

Taking the front bumper off is pretty easy. You can have it removed in less then 10 minutes.

There is a good YouTube out there showing how to paint the front ones without removing the bumper... Not sure how long it would last, but might be worth a try...

Thanks for the advice. I'll have to take off the skid plate to get to the bumper bolts/nuts, right? What am I facing with the rear bumper?

Rear is much easier, unclip your lights and trailer connector. Then unbolt the bumper, the rear hooks are mounted to the frame with 2 bolts each.

Do the Mojaves have bed-sliders? Probably need to unbolt those as well. Mine were a pain, but for reasons involving and air compressor, and probably not relavwnt to OP's ask.

Oh oops no they don’t, you’re right. You can most likely leave them attached to the bumper and just remove the bolts that go to the frame.

Crawl under and look. Jeeps are like Legos for adults. It doesn’t take much skill to disassemble them.

Mojave X does. It has the front and rear full steel bumper group.
