The owner drives a gladiator. They fixed my trail damage in two weeks flat. Sheet metal and paint both look amazing. I highly recommend them to anyone in the Denver or Evergreen area.

Good for you! So many times body repair/paint comes with a sad story.

Not the first time you’ve talked me down. Thanks. I’m on the waiting for parts train for a bit, so I’ll work on figuring out what’s bent in the steering. I can work on removing the RSE body bolt brackets, and the wiring harness. And since the rockets are baked, I can reinforce the accessory wiring with more loom and zip ties. You can never have enough! :)

I have a question. I haven’t seen this addressed before, but if it has, I missed it.

Whatever rock sliders I end up with after this will not have any contact with the pinch seam, and I’d like to not only camouflage that area, but put something in place that strengthens it and hides the holes. Is there anything regarding body flex that I should be avoiding? My thought process is that since other rock sliders including Oem bolt to it, that I should be ok. I don’t want corrosion from unlike metals, so my thought is to bolt two strips of 1/4ā€ UHMW, sandwiching the pinch seam as ā€œthe meatā€. Maybe even 1/8ā€ would be enough. I’d maybe order black zinc bolts to hide them. Thoughts?

I would would wait and see what you get as for corrosion best thing is leaving it as is and keep it clean. New Venture is coming out with one soon that has UHMW on it and is frame mounted, but looking at the current JL version they bend the UHMW over the pipe frame and it looks ā€œoddā€, I think I would rather have the pipe exposed and scratch and touch up.
I have a lot of misplaced faith in you Dan perhaps build what you want! Bill (Shadowpaw) )will come over to help, I’ll pick him up on the way!
