In another life
I was in the oilfield service business.
We built cargo boxes
made of a plywood floor and 2x12 sides
for the beds of our 4x4 service trucks.
This prevented wellheads
and blow out preventers
from rolling around
and bashing the walls of the bed.

Maybe you have lifted your Glad, maybe not. One reason I bought mine was for the lower deck height and lower bedrail 'toss over' height just for loading up stuff like those bricks. Much more useful to me than most all the giant full size pick ups.

That and the low entry height
was exactly the reason
I bought my Gladiator.
However I screwed up
and bought a used Rubicon
without trying one on for size.

I tried one on at a dealership I had no plans to purchase from, you know..."what can we do to get you into this vehicle today". I wanted to fill out the order form myself for what I wanted at my local dealer who really appreciated the business.
Though no manual tranny to try at least my wife and I could check visibility and comfort. Moving up from a 2000 Sonoma four door 4X4 there was plenty of room and my 5' 1" wife could even see the hood from the drivers' seat. Only slightly small in the cockpit for me at 6' 1" not bad, I used to drive a 1969 TR Spitfire in flight school, so who needs lots of room? And after a 4 foot bed in the Sonoma the 5 footer on the Jeep is luxury!
