Nope.Any chance any of these recent repairs were caused by this recall problem? Trying to make lemonade here...

If I recall how everything works, that fuse would probably disable the system but not remove the problem. The problem is that the pump gets power directly from the battery through one of the larger fuses on the Z-case array (I think!)Hello, doing a quick search i found fuse F34 to be related to power steering, any ideas if removing it while the jeep is parked will prevent the risk of fire until Jeep can fix this issue

Sucks...was hoping for that to work until it can be fixedIf I recall how everything works, that fuse would probably disable the system but not remove the problem. The problem is that the pump gets power directly from the battery through one of the larger fuses on the Z-case array (I think!)
removing that fuse would probably turn off the pump but it’d still have power to the potentially problematic connector.
I have an EcoD and checked right after the recall was announced -- mine was not on the list. BUT...checked a few days later, and it is now there. It apparently took them a few days to load in all the affected VINs. Check again out of an abundance of caution.Hm my 2022 Ecodiesel apparently not on that list? (yet?)
That's what I was thinking but that would only disconnect the main battery ,not sure if that would do it!If that fuse won't do the job, how about installing a battery disconnect switch then.
You can. I’ve driven over 1500 kms one time without the PS when the pump tanked while on a trip from Alberta to BC then back again. It was no fun on 285/70/17’s. Forget it if you’re running 35’s or larger.I don't suppose you can unplug the connector and drive with no PS?
You will be fine. You have been driving your Jeep for however long with no issues I presume. So drive it like you always do and whatever happens happens.Next week's gonna be fun...
Both my Gladiator and the wifes' Wrangler are affected by the recall and we've got a trip from Detroit, MI all the way down to Chattanooga, TN...
I really, really hope we don't get woken up one night or called one day because my Gladiator is currently lighting up the hotel parking lot...
Yeah, we're going to take it and not panic-sweat over the issue. Just a bit of "did the Jeep catch fire today?" checking on it.You will be fine. You have been driving your Jeep for however long with no issues I presume. So drive it like you always do and whatever happens happens.
