Anybody hoping for a shotgun/rifle storage

I'm hoping somebody takes advantage of using the Factory rear under seat storage box as a model for making a bolt.down secure storage box for rifles or shotguns ( for purely sporting purposes! Of course?

yes, but its not a bolted down hardbox

It’s held down by just 4 bolts, is made to be easily removed and carried away all together with the built in carry handle. Even has a box to hold the bolts.

My shotgun is special when it comes to finding a case for it. I shoot a VersaMax Waterfowl Pro with a 28 inch barrel and extended choke so even cases specifically designed for waterfowl hunting are a tad bit too small. I really do hope it is enough room for me to fit my and my son's shotguns in there when we are headed to the slough. Since the seat locks in place and you can lock the doors it would be possible to at least stop and grab a burger while traveling. When we took the soft top JK hunting someone had to stay with the Jeep at all times because if there were 4 of us hunting that was a whole lot of money invested in shotguns.

I can't help but wonder about the reduction in payload to accommodate an AR Pistol (nope, no SBR here!!) and 6x30rd. Magpul "clips" .

My dad owns a machine shop so if I don't like the box we can always fab up a diamond plate steel box with a real lock

My first thought 2 days ago when I checked out a JT Rubicon in person and looked at the under backseat storage box was that I could remove the dividers and fit an AR in there. Thanks for confirming my thoughts with this picture.
