Anyone know how to connect the wireless Bluetooth speaker to the JT Bluetooth?, I read through the manual and tried pairing it with no luck, even jeep cares couldn't help.

over half of them are defective and won't pair. Have your dealer order you a replacement.

Not sure it was meant to. I think it’s just portable to hook to phone when of the dock.

Good call, I missed that. I thought the OP was trying to connect it to a phone.

@Bulldog the Godfadr is correct, the speaker is not meant to be used with the JT radio, its used at the campfire and connected to your phone.

Why would you connect the speaker to the JT bluetooth? What are you trying to do?

I believe at one point the bluetooth speaker was marketed as being used as an additional speaker when it was docked to your JT.

That was how I understood it from reading the description. It even mentioned something about pairing two of them for stereo sound.

Having the speaker play when docked is rather pointless. The location behind the seat is a horrible spot for a non-sub speaker. The speaker is meant to be used outside paired with a phone or the like, not the in-dash JT radio.

First I read it can be paired to the jt 7or 8.4 stereo later on my understanding that is just a portable device that can be pair to phone while on the dock or outside also can be pair with another one to create a stereo I believe is just a update of the ones in the renegade that can be flip and used as a tailgate music if need but not removed

See post #2. That was not relevant for the OP but it is for your question.

Literally, just to get it done, the first thing I did when I got home was to pair our devices with the speaker. It took just seconds for each device.

Okay, after many trial and error, I got it to work.

  1. Power speaker up
  2. After power up hold the “play/pause” button and “-“ button down until you hear it beep quickly
  3. Check your phone BT for “Jeep Speaker”

Thank you so much for the information. I needed to use my speaker today and couldn't get it to pair with my phone. This worked perfectly!

The Jeep literature doesn't make mention of this, unfortunately.
