"Yes rule of thumb with money down on a lease is you should be able to part ways with it in case of a totaled vehicle... That is why I cap my "drive off fees" at 3k. It's a number I can live with as I make sure also all acquisition, title, registration, license, and first month payment fees are taken out of the money I decide to give as "drive off fees". Then the loss is minimized if my car is totaled.

I'm out.
Lots to consider .. listen to really smart guys.... I ain't one.

I'm no expert either, but it's possible they lower the MF if residuals suck.
True that..

Now June is here and a whole new bunch of numbers are out. ,, Have you research that??

July is coming...

Money Factor is different for every vehicle. Wranglers have been notoriously high compared to other vehicles because they have a high residual that the banks can get away with it.

$594 per month, actually. However this is with $4504 down. The leases most quote on here are with ZERO down. Much easier to compare one lease to another with ZERO down. Change to ZERO down and it jumps to $728 per month.

Also MF and residual aren't locked in when you order a new vehicle for lease, they can change monthly.

Good Day All-

I hope you are well.

So I have the attached quote. Looks like the residual is less than 70% which I thought I would get. They also did not offer me any break on price. Lastly, here is the question, I thought you only paid tax on the amount you were utilizing? This is taxed on the entire value.

Would appreciate any thoughts.

Best regards, Tony

I heard some states still tax you on the whole thing.

Looks like you are “buying” it for about $2,200 under MSRP (not great), and have a residual of 70%. (Remember that residual is a percentage of MSRP, not MSRP plus taxes and fees). Do you know what credit tier and money factory you qualified for?

Thanks, I do not. I am assuming that they should be able to provide both of those numbers and will ask.

Anyone got any updated Rubicon lease numbers? I'm being quoted 69% residual on 36/10, and 68% on 39/10. Money factor of .00169.
