I agree it's a more optioned order, but do a little snooping. There are a ton of highly optioned automatics. None in manuals. I tried.

I used the Jeep vehicle locator using most of the major metropolitan areas of the northeast US zip codes as a center trying to find what I want, or something very close to get my dealer to do a trade rather than keep waiting. Chicago, Detroit, Columbus, Cincinnati, Buffalo, DC, Philly, NYC, Boston, Pittsburgh, Cleveland, probably a few others. Not one.

What I want, granted in white and automatic, is sitting 8 miles from me. Within 150 miles of the dealer I ordered from there are about 100 close to what I want auto Rubicons. Never mind all the ones that already flowed through and were purchased and gone.

Those 100 Rubicons have many times over all the parts needed for my build, and for the others still waiting or already moved on. They chose not to build it, not because they're picking on us, but because of some predetermined strategy.

It's that strategy that gets my goat. And that's by far the smaller issue. If I'd have had someone look into it, give me a real answer and an honest timeline, or the option to change my order removing the missing parts to get it built quicker, I'd have been happy. Not only did they not do that on their own, I've been asking those questions since the end of June when it started to become obvious it wouldn't be built and shipped when I hoped. I got canned chat answers and escalation to canned email answers that completely ignored the questions I asked. @JeepCares was more genial and helpful, but ultimately didn't have access to a lot more info than Chat or Jeff.

Basically, I was told to sit and wait and we'll get around to you when we feel like it. I can't accept that.

There's a new restaurant you were really excited to eat at. Sit 4 hours watching table after table get their food, while the waiter only tells you "Thank you for your patience as we launch this exciting new menu", when he could have said, "We're having trouble with the coleslaw and carrots. If you drop the coleslaw and carrots, I can get it right out to you".

In this case, I got fed up, peeked in the kitchen, and found that chicken and fish orders are going out, and getting coleslaw and carrots, but not steak orders.

In this case, they've now told me "we'll probably get around to you the week of the 26th". Ok, I say grudgingly, I was really excited to eat here.

In this case, if I don't get my food by the week of the 26th, I'm out.
I remember reading in another thread that I cannot find at this time where someone mentioned all the possible combinations a JT could be built and it was in the multitude of many thousands of possible combinations.

What I speculate is orders like yourself of high probable part option constraint items, they are poaching those items to complete other orders rather than setting aside until everything is there and completing your build. For example if you have 5 items of constraint and they only trickle in 4 items and wait for the 5th item to complete your build, they are poaching your 4 items they have to complete other order builds that may have less constraints and it becomes a viscous repeating reset cycle.

Part of the problem in my opinion is that the “Just in Time” supplier model of them only have 1-2 days of parts on hand for production. This does not allow them to segregate and store the parts until complete for high optioned builds like yourself.

Yeah, that was a combo of me and Thorny here. I think he worked out the combo math and I proposed the steal this steal that theory. It makes sense at least.

This is the exact problem. Throw in lack of labor at 2nd and 3rd tier suppliers (heard the company that makes body color tops, took on fenders as well, but cannot hire people to run the production line). It's literally a shit show, but they ALWAYS have enough parts to keep the production line full.

I don't know that I'd seen those before. Good mix of snarl with chunky without being overly blingy. And the BFGs look balanced in 35 with no lift. Well done sir!

Hey admin, kick this guy out of this thread for posting a pic of an automatic Gladiator!!! (KIDDING).

Nick, love it and I have to say it, if my order has been cancelled (which I'm 99% sure it has been) I may be going the same route.

I know all the queuing and scheduling is computer software driven, but it makes me wonder if their software scripts after so many days of not being able to queue and build an order, it basically says "fuck it" and cancels the order?

It's either that or sneaky sinister. Accounting or banking or someone's bonus depends on fulfillment, cancel the order and re-enter and poof... the metrics look different. As long as no one looks deeper or follows the audit trail, which often gets overlooked.

One way or the other, it's a serious bummer. We just want our Jeeps.
