MY mother-in-law frequently has to get in and out of the back seat. She is 80. I carry a plastic step for her to mostly get in the back seat area. It is not real stable and a pain to carry. Does anybody know of a flip down step I can install on our Rubicon? Something that can be easily pushed up out of the way when not needed. Ideas?

Very funny. It's either she goes with or we have to bring her food back. By the way she does think the JT is very cool.

OK I guess I'll throw my official advice. What you need to do is find a new woman who is much younger than your wife, preferable she be the first child so her parents will be young enough to hop in the truck. The ideal scenario would be a 21 year old bikini model with an obscene trust fund who was born when her mom was 18.

But if you are serious look here. https://rockslideengineering.com

I have the Rockslide Engineering steps and would Not recommend for what you are needing. My dad is 87 and it isn't easy for him to get in and especially out of the front seat with them. The way the steps deploy, the back seat would be very difficult for most people especially an 80 year old. I'd stick with what you are using!!

I forgot to mention that I have three daughters and a petit wife and I keep a small folding step stool in the bed so that they can climb into my Gladiator when they are wearing a skirt. Just make sure you get an aluminum one or rust will be an issue after a while.

The AMP steps have a big surface area and they are quieter than the Rockslides. I have a set on my JK that are awesome. I will be buying a set of rockslides for gladiator because they actually offer protection from rocks unlike the AMP which will not take much abuse. Either option is not inexpensive.

I have a step for my 90 year old dad that came from Amazon I believe called mascot. It is plastic, light and folds flat. I was worried it would not be tall enough for him to get into the Rubicon but he steps right up and in.
