I've been watching people try and figure out the ordering system for 5 years. You can't figure it out. It is based on a number of variables we don't have access to including inventory on materials, staffing levels, issues being worked by hand, etc. If you ever did figure it out the variables would change before you could use it to predict anything. No just trying to figure out he ordering system. I'm glad many people are getting theirs built. But it's kind of annoying that many of us got "tricked" into buying the Dual top group, to try and get our order in earlier. That said. It's a little anoying, but I'll make the money back by selling it. It's just a pain.
The build sheet and window sticker both become available in KZ when you Jeep has been invoiced to the dealerMy build abbreviation sheet shows that from D1 to complete is typcially 12 days.. Ordered 9/23 and i received my VIN almost immediatly. I was at D1 (all materials required are accounted for and unit is sequence for production) all last week, and now that they are rolling Gator through, i went from D1 yesterday to F (paint) today. I would think the build sheet becomes available I or after, and then window sticker is J or after.
E – framing
F – paint
G – trim
Built:
I – unit built, pending final inspection
J – vehicle passed final inspection but not released to carrier
JB – shipped to body vendor
JE – shipped to emissions
JJ – consigned to body vendor
JS – shipped to storage
KZ – released by plant and invoiced
Traffic Codes:
KZ L – released but not shipped KZ M – first rail departure
Im one of the forced dual top buys, and ive cruised through the forums and it sounds like majority of dual or hard top people who bought a soft, end up sticking with the soft out of convenience. I think if i had a preference as a build option, a soft freedom panel like bestop makes would be my route, that way i could enjoy the convenience of both hard and soft.I've been watching people try and figure out the ordering system for 5 years. The good news is you can usually end up ahead selling your soft top.
dude...THATS AWESOME!! your dealer must have added a bottle of lube to your order for you to slip through like that.I got my Build Sheet!!
if i remember correctly, you have quite the build plan for yours...you went sport/overland/rubi?I got my Build Sheet!! Still in JB status though.
I dont think so my Rubicon is running tomorrow as far as I know.I'm still thinking they are ironing things out so they're sticking with Sports and will move to the Rubis once things are running smoothly.
Rubi.if i remember correctly, you have quite the build plan for yours...you went sport/overland/rubi?
