Bought an AluCab off a Brute. Test fit on a buddies JT without removing the tonneau says it'll line up and a guy on expo portal put one on his already. These are his pics in black and my new top in silver. Now.... Still waiting on a Jeep to put it on.

This is really nice. I don't like that tall items can never be put in the bed. I do like that you can't just cut into the cover like a typical tonneau cover. Also I this slat system looks like Yakima and Thule. Why does it cost so much more?

I picture putting tall items (and plywood etc) on top of the cover. The slat system I would only have on when needed (tent, kayak, bikes)

Yes if the tent is on the cross bars (or when anything goes across both bars). This would only be the case when camping or some other activities that involved using the cross bars.

If nothing is on the bars it can be opened...tail gate can always be opened.

This is exactly what I want to do.
Do you happen to know where the guy with the black top got his?
I was under the impression that Ali-Cab was developing one to fit but it looks like one of their models already does.

It's on expedition portal. It doesn't fit perfectly but is off his Tacoma. It fits kinda like the Chevy Colorado tonneau covers. The lines aren't the same at the back corners but it's close enough no one would give it much thought.

The rack is very nice and is stout. I bought it for a 3rd generation Tacoma. Sold the truck. Rack bolted into the cargo system with the same holes as the Tacoma used. I would buy again. It is a Warrior Products 8410. I bought it from Morris 4x4 and got a forum discount.
