ok off subject I know but @ShadowsPapa the cat face creeps me out. I don't know why but it does :surprised:

creepy.webp
LOL - that's Koko as a kitten. He always had a scowl - and in a sense, still does. His brother looks a lot more like the Siamese half - and a very friendly smile most of the time. Tonkinese are a breed based on Burmese and Siamese. Often they'll lean more toward one or the other of their background, usually they don't really show their background traits so much as these brothers do.
They are not cats to ignore - especially when younger - just try - they'll fix you good.
They have a couple of shelves on our bedroom wall about 6' up. Imagine walking into a room and a toy mouse goes sailing past your head.........and look over to see a chocolate colored cat staring at you just above eye level.

I'd be thrilled if the dealer would swap for a new like type cover. I like the cover, don't like the saggy fit and water pooling which we know WILL eventually cause bigger trouble.
I mentioned @JeepCares here but nothing so far.
My dealer wouldn't even look for bulletins, etc. - they worked with it about 10 minutes - taking out the screws that hold the latches to the sides of the box, saw they were threaded holes, no adjustment, put it back and said sorry, that's just how they are.
It's another case where if that's how they were, then we'd never see pictures of the nice fitting ones that people have kindly posted here.
Can the people with no sags post some pictures of their covers so @JeepCares can see the difference between a good cover and our saggy covers.
Hi Bill and Damon,
As our team is not mechanically trained, we do rely on our dealers in the field for proper diagnosis. Should you decide to visit your dealers to have this looked into further, please feel free to send us a PM. We would be happy to connect you with a Case Specialist.

One of the issues is that no one is familiar with any of the specifics on these trucks. The dealers know so little about them, especially things like the bed covers. In fact they didn't even have a guy who was familiar with them - they grabbed a guy from the shop and he was trying to figure it out as he went. He even had to figure out how it was held on - he had it rolled up and looking at the front attachments - all but scratching his head!
I had to argue with them over the uconnect issue, too - ended up leaving with that unresolved as the service writer couldn't figure out what "reset" meant - he kept arguing "you mean update and we don't do that". I said no, I do not mean update - I mean a hard reset - NO update" - well, we don't do updates, when there's an update they'll send it to you. I said again - no please stop saying update - there's a huge difference, I mean hard reset as if your computer crashed to the blue screen of death and you had to rest it. I ended up leaving disgusted, nothing resolved.

They basically said since there's no adjustment to the cover that they could figure out, it means there's not a problem with it and they looked at one other that didn't lay nice and said "they all do that".

These people in the field need to go to SCHOOL.

So I'm stuck - washed the truck today and was a good half inch to three quarters inch of water sitting in every space between the bars - because of the volume or amount of water that pools you can't ever really get them rinsed.
I think part of the problem is when it's COLD like this things shrink up and when dry, they don't "appear" as bad but when it's warm or they get water on them - they likely hold a couple gallons of water on top - and I'd bet even more - no exaggeration. Warm weather, water on them, they sag badly.
Someone is going to have to TELL the dealer there's a problem - they won't believe us because they don't know anything about any of this.
So someone from up higher will have to tell them it's an issue, not "diagnose" it themselves - like the other issues - if it runs, it's not broken.

THANK YOU. I'll see how our schedule is the next few days with the holidays coming up and see what will work for timing and then let you know - and set the appointment with enough time in between so everyone can get on the same page.

Post a few pictures from different angles please.

Yeah, i want to show our DEALERS what a good one actually looks like. They apparently don't know that 1" or more of water on the cover, especially in winter, is not a good thing.

Nope not a dealer. Came with the truck not sure who put it on. Mine is a Launch Addition so not sure if that makes a difference. Photo for effect.

Good grief I sure wish mine fit that nice without sags between the bars. Mine always looks like it was never finished (and if you looked at the heads of the bolts that hold it to the front of the box, you'd think a kid who never used a Torx drive bit installed it - crappy cheap-@$$ install with the bolt heads roughed up, the bit obviously slipped in the bolt heads)

New I would make the dealer replace it. There have to be some on the lot that they did not screw up or show them pictures of mine.

Thanks, in the dealership picture it looks pretty tight, but in the other picture it looks like it has some sag. I decided to order mine with the roll-up tonneau. I guess hopefully I get a good one!
