Oh c’mon now. It was probably a newbie design engineer and it was their first assignment. Everybody makes mistakes.
Beat their boss instead for letting it get out. :punch::devil::turkey: :CWL::LOL::giggle::CWL::LOL::giggle:
Well that boss just so happens to be the same woman who was the boss for the Rams that are having a similar issue.
If you’re wondering her name is Elizabeth Krear. Maybe we all just flood her Facebook with messages until the problem is resolved. Might be faster than waiting on FCA. Just a thought.

I do not like reading about this problem... Should be getting my JT soon....I live in Florida....for me there is only two settings for a HVAC....off or MAX AC. I cannot recall the last time in any car I have used "heat" of any sort. I guess defrost from time to time would count?

I better be able to set her to MAX. :)

I agree here- if it is truely auto it should be cooling of when the cabin gets hot... which kinda debunks the other arguements on here that the hvac is acting as normal when it’s trying to get the cabin temp to where it’s set
OMG your truck is broken take it in, how many people have to tell you theirs are working ok for you to get that?

Its clear there is a thermostat issue on some trucks, SOME, not a systemic issue you are portraying.

How many people with this issue have dual climate?

I wonder if it is an issue with the base Sport and Sport S models without the 7" or 8.4" uconnect that don't have the dual climate system.

The blend doors could be different

You do realize that this entire thread is people talking about theirs being screwed up in roughly the same way right? And maybe you should lay off the caffeine you’re coming in really aggressive over something that clearly isn’t bothering you. Just take a few minutes to relax, and calm down you deserve it.

Trust me I am very relaxed this response is to ONE individual who on this thread and his clickbait thread refuses to hear other views and claims they are all broken despite multiple attempts.

What happens when several threads are or MAY be related or NOT related, have or MAY have or don't actually have the same issues, or SIMILAR but different issues, and in some cases, it's not an issue with the truck but an understanding of how it normally works - in this thread is it really the exact same thing?
If the exact parameters are well defined and the outliers removed then yeah. But it seems it may be diluted with me-too that actually fits other scenarios.

Relaxed? Naw. It’s interesting the people who are NOT having issues seem to argue the most on threads where others are having problems...

Way to dilute this thread even more papa. It’s actually more diluted by people who don’t have the problem arguing the people that have the problem that they don’t have the problem;) maybe you should take the me-to movement as... either there is a problem or at least a perceived problem by many... either way it’s a problem!

I'm not getting into the middle of the fray here but I will say I have the problem. I have an LE.
I have done some information gathering on my truck.
On manual the truck blows air around 90 out the vents until the cabin temp is reached then goes to about 60. I have not seen it go back to 90 yet but I have only given it about 5 minutes.
It does the exact opposite when trying to initially cool the cabin. It puts out 60 degree air then goes to 90. Someone mentioned checking if there is a correlation between people not having this issue not having dual climate. It would be great for people to indicate what they have to see if correlation exists.
I run I team that designs software. This could simply be a glitch in the control software. Hopefully , if it is they can patch it.

How does this compare to your 2014 JK?

So far I have seen a lot of "blows 60" or "blows 90" but has anyone actually MEASURED, or is it they are simply using big numbers that sound cold or hot?
Once it stops blowing warm air to heat the cabin up to the set temp, it will mix, or SHOULD mix, and it will feel cold because it's no longer hot.
We really only have perceptions until someone comes forward with the issue and the facts - actual temperatures.
Otherwise it's all based on whatever someone believes the temp to be, or their perception of cold or hot - and those are the facts.

Even a dealership shop is not going to touch it without measuring the air temp coming out. Anything else is simply guessing.
Solutions require troubleshooting based on facts and evidence.
Try to deny that. I'll show any number of service manuals to support it.

if you were taking about the difference between a few degrees, I would agree you may need a thermometer. However, the average, sensible person should be able to tell the difference between 60 and 90 degree air. Room temperature is around 72. Air blowing at 60 should feel cool or cold, air blowing at 90 should be hot. Sorry you don’t need a thermometer for this bud.
