Jeep has ruled out the HEMI
Yes, but WHICH Hemi? Anyone have an actual quote of 5.7 vs. 6.4? I keep hoping they left themselves an 'out'. :)

It's not entirely clear whether Kuniskis was speaking about HEMIs altogether, or just the hellcat (6.2). But the hellcat shares the 6.4 bore, so...

I like the hood and seats.

In addition to the Mojave trim, the High Altitude trim is coming to Wrangler and JT, with interior upgrades and 20" wheels. Yikes.
To me it's underwhelming.

Shocks. Trim. Software they've been promising since launch.

Not a hint of what most have been begging, existing and future competition are expected to provide in spades, and which has been rumored for a year.

Oh yeah, that heavily camo'd hood? Just so that nobody would know that...shh... they added a scoop.

Rubicon is still the one for me; not too many opportunities for high speed off roading here in KY that I know of. I want to run trails and tow 5K comfortably.

I think it's a smart move, business wise. The Bronco is going to be aimed at the Baja-style market from what I've read. Mohave equipment competes directly with that.

Should be a fun year comparing Jeeps and Broncos . . . (I still want the 5.7 :headbang:)

I agree. But the Bronco and Ranger will, at minimum, will exceed the Pentastar in their base engine, to say say the least of the potential upgrades.

There is talk of the 2.7 EcoBoost possibly being the base engine in Bronco, though not sure I buy that.

Jeep isn't going to make a significant dent in that market with shocks and software.

I like the Pentastar; have one in our Durango and it works well. I'd like to see a bit more in the JT, and I'd rather have naturally aspirated than a turbo. The price point of the JTR with the Pentastar is what has kept me from pulling the trigger so far. I'm fine with the offering, but it still feels a bit too steep for me personally.

More power would be welcome in a vehicle that both gets modified (extra weight, Wrangler usage) and put to work (towing, etc truck usage). I'm not talking big block power for speed, here.
