How do you like the Roam? I really like their Slimline stubby, but I’ve heard some iffy stuff on their customer service. Their website only gives out E-mail and I’m not getting any responses...
This is the second product I have bought from Roam. I bought frame rails for my JL last year. I didn’t have any of the problems I have seen on here and on the JL forums they were recommended at the time. I think it is likely they are just a small, growing company stretched thin. Their products are nice. well manufactured. I have had success contacting via PM from FaceBook or this email. This is the guy that has handled both my sales. [email protected].

I am also thinking about this Ace Bumper, did you have to modify frame to accept the
bumper only? or did the winch play a role in that frame mod?
What Warn Zeon did you go with? I know on their site they said it was a 10-S in theirs.
Thanks

I have the Ace Expedition bumper on mine. Their description says that it's a direct bolt on part, but you can expect to have to trim a bracket on the driver side frame horn and open up the mounting holes. I had to go to 5/8" on the holes and still fought like hell to get it on. It will work with the factory fogs, although with the Warn Zeon there really isn't enough room. I ended up putting a fender washer between the frame and bumper on each bolt and the fog light plugs are still pressed up pretty hard against the front of the winch. Aside from the fitment issues I had its it's a quality, well built piece.

looks good are you happy with the fit?
Yeah fit is great. Factory fog lights swapped right over.... And my tires Don’t rub like they did on the stock bumper. The only thing I didn’t count on was the license plate had no where to mount so I had to buy the holder separately. If you are in a state that does not require a front tag... it’s not a problem.

The bracket on the frame had to be trimmed to allow room for the winch plate. It's not anything that's used on the Gladiator and is pretty much impossible to mess up. The holes on the frame horns needed opened up larger for the bolts to fit through and line up with the bumper. Unfortunately I didn't take any pictures of the process. The winch is the Warn Zeon 10-s. I've been really happy with it so far, although I've only used it a couple of times. The wireless remote on the platinum would be nice, although I don't think it's worth the extra that they charge.

Love that ADD bumper with the integrated light!
Was on my short list of one’s to purchase.

You doing their rear bumper as well? Think I’m going with their option with the lighting.
Pic of the rear bumper. Ignore the Mopar dual exhaust tips  they are getting chopped and relocated as soon as I can get in the local shop.

Thanks for the Pic, really like that bumper! What are your thoughts on the lights? Are they connected to your reverse lights or an Auxiliary switch?

Slightly off topic, but what parts did you have to order for the black grille? I want to order it but it’s a bit confusing on what parts I actually need to order. Some seem to come with inserts and others don’t. Thanks.

I am really happy with both the front and rear Baja design lights. Front lights are on one and rear are on another of the factory uplifter switches as I thought they could get a little obnoxious if they came on with the reverse lights.

You have to do a little modification to the middle sensor brackets to make them sit flush but nothing to crazy. The outside sensors are plug and play.

As for the bumpers I am really happy with them also. They are beefy enough to be functional but they have also done a nice job of keeping them fairly tucked into the vehicle so it doesn't feel like I added 2 ft onto the overall length.

2 cans of PlastiDip in matte black.

Takes about 5 minutes to pull the grill and about another 20 to strip off the camera, harnesses, wires, and mesh insert.
Applied about 5 coats of PlastiDip then reassembled.
$15.00 and some time.

Mopar does make a black grille for around $300 I believe.

Ahh. Didn’t cross my mind to just plasti dip it. I don’t have the trail cam, so that’s no issue at all. Thanks man!

Rugged Ridge Arcus modified for Warn 8274. The 8274 is bigger front to back, so the bumper sits out about 2 more inches. I didn't like the massive tow hooks that came with the Arcus, so retained the stock Rubi red tow hooks and used just a regular D-ring mount.

Funny, I really didn’t think that I could search and actually find someone who installed an 8274 on an Arcus bumper, and yet here you are. I’m going to do this....

Did you make a spacer to move the bumper out for clearance?
