They screwed you over? What happened?
I was supposed to PCS back to Germany I had pin point assignment to CMTC I found out when the post CSM called me at home "asking" where the F$$$ I was at. At the time I was doing PSD for G.O. and other stuff. I was direct requested for assignment to CMTC due to shortage of NCO's at the time especially ones that had extensive experience there. Being I have spent over a year there in field and know the area well and the CSM knew me and background experience.

I am really starting to think you are living my life. lol. I have a 2 year old that is constantly asking for my attention since I am home and it's new to him. Teleworking on a half assed VPN is really a pain and having to document what I do in a work log is ridiculous since I would never have to do it at home. All in all though...this has been a really good thing. I am back to getting out and taking walks with family, going to start running again when my new shoes show up, been eating better, so I may have come out of this losing some weight and feeling better lol.
Haha. Yes, the 2 year old issue. So i have 2 friends with 2 year olds and they never seem to have the problems you and i are having. Either their kids are potatoes or they are lying to me about how they sleep and how quite and non needy they are. I'm annoyed at work because I spend as much time documenting what i'm not getting done as what I am getting done and I can't help but think i'd get more done if I wasn't documenting everything, but we have these stupid forms to fill out when we start and end our day. Another great army policy haha.
ALso, hey I ordered some new running shoes too. I really like those hokas. I however, am in much worse shape. Not hitting the gym every other day and i'm losing muscle mass fast. Its amazing how fast it goes away. So yeah, i'm losing weight, but its muscle. Maybe I need to get some sort of knockoff trx system or something? It might be nice to have if doing extended camping/off roading sessions. Although i guess you could just play tug of war with your winch?

ahhhh i see. thats unfortunate, but not uncommon from what i hear. ALso, I wonder how many people reading your posts had to look up every single acronym you used haha. I remember when I started, i carried around a 20 page list of these and it seemed like i used it every meeting at least 2 or 3 times for years. I will say, that i do envy you. Everyone I know stationed in Germany had a good time. Well, except for those that just never did anything or left base. I met a lady who was with her husband there for 4 years, had no kids, and told me she never learned german because she never left base. She wasn't even working. What the hell was she doing that whole time?!

Teleworking as much as possible, taking walks around the neighborhood, and did a little yard work yesterday. Will add that the Gladiator is cleaner than it's been in a while cause every time I go into the garage, I find myself wiping on it. Made the mistake of trying to venture out to support a local carry-out yesterday, they were doing everything right, gloves, sanitizer, separation, limiting customers inside, etc. So I'm in line and make it to the check-out and the lady rings me up, looks across the counter at me, and COUGHS!! Right at me, she coughs! Left my stuff on the counter and hauled a$$ back to the safety of my Gladiator. Carry clorox wipes so I wiped my hands and face and everything else, and retreated to the safety of my house. Maybe a little paranoid, but I don't want this crap. Guess I'm staying put for a while now. Stay healthy fellow Jeepers!!!
GAH! I would probably do the same. Yesterday i finally left the house last night and went to a food truck. People started approaching me and wanting to look at the gladiator. What the hell? I said look all you want and walked quite a ways away. They thought i was crazy and I could tell without asking them they think the whole thing is a hoax so I just told them from a distance how great the gladiator was and went and got my food.

My first tour in Germany flat out sucked, it was during the "Cold War" I think I wasn't in the field only about 3-4 months out of 2 1/2 years. As I was to be going to PLDC Desert Shield started, I was cross attached to 3AD and went. Ending with my loss of many things, plans and goals. I was a fast track until that. My second tour if I wasn't in field or something I was driving all over. My Comanche and I been all over Germany, CZ, Poland, France, Italy and many other countries in fact I can't remember all the places I went. That was from 95-98. So I guess I was doing the Overlanding kinda before it was the thing it is here now. ;)
I was to be there for 3 more years but big army can screw some over.

I start and finish my day perfectly. I drive my JTR to work, get out with a big smile on my face as the roads and parking garage are virtually empty. I then drive my JTR home doing about 85 and the wife greats me with a glass of wine. Life is good.

By the way, the Spanish flu lasted for almost two years. Also, I was stationed in Pearl for five years and loved every minute of it, but then I was a young horny sailor taking advantage of everything Hawaii had to offer and there was plenty!

Working on a beach buggy project that's been in the garage since I could remember.

Still working the 4 10 hour shifts M-TH. These next three days are going to be rough.

I'd love 4 10s. Higher ups barely approved a compressed schedule. They seem to hate anything other than 5 normal days a week.

I work in healthcare, so have no choice.
Ah yes. Rough. How's it going by you with all this? My other friends and family in healthcare are really working hard and it's not something I envy.
