I just installed them the other week. No issues at all. They have a video on the website and it really is as simple as that. Three bolts per side. I however saw people mentioning breaking bolts as well so I just used a breaker bar and went easy loosening. Zipped them in with an impact on lowest setting then torqued them down (they are long bolts lol)Bought the ACE sliders. Called my dealer and they won't install. What's everyone's experience with installing? I am handy and have all the tools. Just read the posts on broken bolts.
The bolts are kinda tough to get out, but you can do it. The install process otherwise isn't that difficult.Bought the ACE sliders. Called my dealer and they won't install. What's everyone's experience with installing? I am handy and have all the tools. Just read the posts on broken bolts.
Didn't have to heat the bolts or anything?I just installed them the other week. No issues as all. They have a video on the website and it really is as simple as that. After removing the bolts I couldn’t imagine breaking a bolt especially on a brand new truck. (Some thread locker was on it but very little)

no sir. Not at all unless you count a 90 degree day as heating them lolDidn't have to heat the bolts or anything?
Thanks. I have a buddy that has a used car dealership that will help me out if needed. The bolts are kinda tough to get out, but you can do it. The install process otherwise isn't that difficult.
Do you have a local off-road shop? That might be a option.
I heated mine and glad I did. There was a ton of factory loctite on themno sir. Not at all unless you count a 90 degree day as heating them lol
I just heated them a minute or so.My sliders came today. How long did you heat the bolts?
Fun answer.... if you heat them enough to change the properties, you’re going to have an interesting looking “bolt” and Mounting point on the frame at the end of the removal process lolStupid Question ... with heating the bolts, should we be replacing them? Or does the heat not change the metal properties on these?
Worked for me.Did mine, no heat just a 1/2” breaker bar and steady pressure in both directions to loosen it up. Don’t overthink this, it isn’t rocket science.
