I ordered a set from Rock Hard 4x4 on Saturday. Very well made and very solid installation. I opted for the step in the up position. Cant wait for them to deliver and get them bolted on.rock hard 4x4 sliders fit over the pinch seam.
changed my mind and went angled down. Glad I did. Works perfect as a step and my wife can easily get in the Jeep now. These things are very beefy. 3 body mount bolts, 4 tub bolts, 8 pinch weld bolts PER SIDE. I have no doubt they will hold up as a rock slider. Finish is 20% texture to match bumpers or factory flares.I ordered a set from Rock Hard 4x4 on Saturday. Very well made and very solid installation. I opted for the step in the up position. they've been saying that since the JT first hit showrooms.....Let me know if they do come out thought cuz i like their look.Look at something like the Roam rock sliders. The only problem is they are not available yet for the JT. They should be in the next couple of months though.
Haha... yep. I gave up on them. Went with the LOD step sliders and highly recommend them!they've been saying that since the JT first hit showrooms.....Let me know if they do come out thought cuz i like their look.
OEM are body mounted. Are rubicon OEM rails frame mounted or body mounted??
Personally, I like round lights on the JT. I mounted some Baja Designs LP6 Pros on the bumper. They are sort of a hybrid round/square. The housings are round but the lenses are flattened on the sides to produce a 200-degree light spread. I've always been dead set against mounting lights above the hood since I made the mistake of mounting lights above the windshield on one of my Jeeps. However, I've had a pair of BD XL-R (round) Racer Edition spots on order for several weeks and may mount them on the side of the cowl with the Rigid Designs adjustable mount. They only have a 4-degree beam. If they ever get here, I plan to hook them up temporarily and hold them in the cowl position to see if they cast any light on the hood. If they do, they're going on the bumper next to the LP6 lights.
By the way, it looks like Amazon has the 5" and 6" Apollo Pros in stock.
thank youOEM are body mounted.
