I bought my Mojave in Norfolk, VA. before my drive to texas, and a dealer here in San Angelo handled it. I got 37s, teraflex 1.5" front leveling kit and a Fox steering stabilizer installed, and completed the TSB with no issues

?? I thought the TSB was for an entire new steering box. The link is for a brace. It may help fix the wandering but I dont think its a full replacement. I could be wrong.
Yeah, you're right. Like I said, this is an aftermarket band-aid, akin to what they wanted me to do with the track bar. This is the closest thing that I have found to an aftermarket solution, from a youtube channel called JKgearandgadgets. I think even if you buy this brace you have to buy another part to go onto the steering box. I could be wrong, I didn't do much more research after I saw the initial $250 price.

I'd bet they put the wrong email address just to keep you from the survey. I've seen many under hand stuff over the years like that.

I am in the same spot as you but because of stories like this I have not tried to get it repaired yet. And I can't miss any time from work right now. My first try will be Grapevine. Keep us updated on how this goes.

Grapevine is the next dealership I visit. I'll shoot you a message telling you how it goes. I am hoping I hear back from jeep so I can waste as little time as possible trying to make my 45K vehicle drivable.

I’m going to swing my by the local dealer to see what they say. I’m running 37’s, Synergy 3” springs, front and rear track bars, lower control arms, etc. I just plan to lay it out there and just request the new steel steering box. Then I’ll install my Synergy brace. It currently handles pretty well and I noticed the most difference with the new lowers, trackbars, and falcon shocks. I’d just rather have the steel box...

With that kinda rig they better hook you up. It makes me sick that I bought this truck a month ago, saved for two years to pay for it, and I can't get any help from the company that sold it to me.

I hear you. I fell that regardless of the JT they should swap out the aluminum steering box for the updated steel one. It’s just good customer service. I mean it’s a $600 swap for FCA, geez...

2020JT, Self installed 2 inch mopar lift at 10K miles, nothing else, 35X12.5s.

ook it to a different dealer then I bought it at. Day 1, 4 mile test drive with Service Advisor, he agreed, drives awesome but drifts. Ordered new parts and scheduled job to be done 2 weeks later, Day 2- installed new steering gear and bolts. No cost.

Still drives like a cadillac, but tighter then before. with less drifting.

Find another dealer, take a properly printed TSB with you, state your complaint of the drive, let them proceed.

why would a dealership turn away work paid for by corporate? crazy.
they claim they get paid, but at a decreased preagreed rate. So if they are busy and have lots of work they will put you off to the back burner.

That is true. My dad was a dealership mechanic for 50 some years. They are paid by a rate booking. If the book says it takes 4 hours the mechanic is paid for 4 hours and the dealership is paid 4 hours, regardless if it takes 2 or 12 hours to do the job.

Dad would almost double his paycheck weekly and had customers that would only allow him to do their work and no one else. Others in his shop were doing good to get a 40 hour check because they were slow and screwed off too much.

I wish I could take mine In but my JT has been in the body shop for almost two weeks now. Starting to get frustrated.
