Sport S, 6-speed manual, 37" x 12.5" falken mt's on stock wheels, tazer jl mini setting 36.45" to make speedo gps accurate at 80 mph.
3200 miles and 13 tanks of fuel with stock 3.73 axle ratio was 16.0 mpg all driving, mostly city dad duty.
then...
4076 miles and 17 tanks of fuel with 4.88 axle ratio is now the exact same 16.0 mpg, same driving.
previously on 35's i got 15.5 mpg over 3900 miles (3.73 axle) (gps corrected etc., 34.44 tazer setting)
as for me, i'm typically a left lane get your ass in gear kind of driver, i don't dilly dally at all
as for the 3.73 vs 4.88 well the 3.73 was a bit of a dog and only used 4 gears, the 4.88 makes it zip even better than it did off the lot on those tiny little cucumber slices, so it's a hoot now and use all 6 gears
computer error over these last 17 tanks and 4076 miles has been 2.91% average to the optimistic side
for my Canadian friends, 14.7 liters per 100 kms is the conversion for 16.0 mpg and the total kilometers translates to 11,710 kms
it makes sense to me as i had a pentastar 8-spd ram before that (2014) and did nearly 150,000 kms and average was propably around 13 l/100 km, so i expected to be worse rolling on 37's despite being a little lighter, the bad aero a factor, it's doing better than expected however
my tires don't stick way out into the wind either like most with 4.5" bs, i have the narrow axles, narrow fenders, and 12mm wheel spacers giving an effective back space of about 5.6" (+30) so the sidewalls poke but the top of the tread edge is exactly inline with the top of fender overhang
i did also have to use a few washers under each steering stop to curb the control arm rub
seeing this fantastic beast is easiest on instagram @gladiatoryyc, all details and mods are there, do have magnaflow street series side exit cat back exhaust, otherwise stock
