Right now I'm rocking the factory tires with a 2" lift until they wear out, but I'm looking for a set of 37 12.50s for off roading only. What backspacing and width will guarantee no rubbing? I don't like tires to stick out, so the further in without rubbing the better.

Thank you.

I have a Metalcloak 3.5" Gamechanger ordered. I asked them about backspacing. For that lift they recommend a minimum of 4.5" of backspacing. Possibly 4.75" if you have a Rubicon. But they seemed to think a little more would be better.

I will be putting the same size tires on. For a 13.5" wide tire they said 4.25" backspace, btw.

What JT trim, and what lift? MetalCloak and Rock Krawler require more backspacing/offset than most others (for different reasons).

+25 offset or 5.77 backspacing will put you right at the fender flare but not hanging out

This is a 37X12.5 on a 5.72 backspacing so the wheel is sticking out just a hair more than the previous numbers I gave you.

And I assume no rubbing? What width are they?

Thats an AEV wheel, there stuff is tested and re-tested so no rubbing. They are the ones that made the Gladiator by designing the Brute Double Cab and then Jeep made them stop making them so they could put them on the production line.

Wheel in the above pic is this spec:

Size: 17" x 8.5"
Weight: 33 lbs
Bolt Pattern: 5x5
Hub Bore Diameter: 71.5mm
Offset: +25mm
Approximate Backspacing: 5.72"

And if you like that wheel I have a brand new set that cost me too much to ship back that I will give you a great deal on.

That is a stock 7.5 wide Ruby wheel with a 35x12.5 on it and a 1.25" wheel spacer. With no spacer they stay within the flares.

This whole offset thing is not sinking in. If our factory wheels are -44, why does discount show the most negative offset as -12 and AEV wheels are +25? When I used the the wheel offset app that shows the tire tucked way inside.
