4.5 inch or 6 inch lift recommendations?

Hello all. I purchased a 2020 gladiator sport s and started my adventure of customization. Starting with tires which I have already purchased 37s and 17 inch rims. I am looking at a 4.5 inch or 6 inch lift, the main purpose of my jeep will be overlanding no major rock crawling. My questions are which lift would be best? What other parts should I get to achieve a decent ride quality? Or any other helpful information I appreciate it.

I'm running a 3" Rockkrawler Pro x No Limits lift with 37x12.50's with plenty of room.

You don't even need 4.5" to clear 37's. A Clayton 3.5" kit would be enough, especially if you're just overlanding.

Just a thought - with a 6 inch lift and 37s for overlanding (meaning you are probably going to be doing some highway miles to get to cool locations) I think you need to think seriously about gears and an auxiliary fuel tank. Unless you bought a diesel...

I think its going to look ridiculous on 37s and a 6 inch. What exact tire size did you go with? 17x9 on 13.5s?

With 37's and overloading you need a 2.5" -- EVO or AEV both great options , The driving and handling with higher lifts gets very affected . Crosswinds take a huge toll and the control arms will be far from the correct angle . I have 2.5" and 4,000 of overloading miles , About 17MPG on Milestar P 37x12.5x17 and stilll think the drive has a lot to Improve . Ordered the control arms and front / rear trackball plus Steering Stab / Falcon to match the Falcons 3.3 I have .

That'd be for a Rubi. Need more lift on a sport.

Absolutely no need for more lift on a sport with 37s.

There are pages of 37s on factory height Sport/S models and tons more on 37s and Mopar lifts...

They would have to rub a lot with no lift and at least a little with a 2.5”.

A 6 inch lift with 37's and I'm guessing a RTT in the back, that's too much weight up high.
Like others had mentioned, you don't need a 6 inch lift for 37's.
If you go this route be very careful of your roll angle, otherwise your going to be picking your truck up off its side a bunch.

I agree that a 2.5” is too small and the 6.5” is too tall.

I’ll add that I just installed the 2.5” Evo lift on my diesel Overland. I added a 3/4” rear spacer liked how it sits. I was quite surprised how low the diesel springs sat up front with my Mopar steel bumper and winch. I then swapped to the gas front springs and added a 1 1/2” spacer until my diesel 4.5” front springs arrive. I still feel that as is it needs to be another 1/2-3/4” up front to clear my Toyo RT 37’s when I flex. I have the same fenders that you have too. That was why I added the rear spacer.

I’m hoping that the front 4.5 springs get me at 43.5-43.75” as my rear sits at 44.5”.

A 3 1/2” or 4 1/2” lift would be perfect IMO for 37’s on a non Rubicon.

No major rock crawling doesn't require "fully flexed out."

I have 40s on a mopar lift and don't have any rub, and can flex enough to get out of anything I am going to get into in my overloading experiences...
