Well we already know that Jeep is offering 35s for 2022 to compete with the Bronco.

My question is, are they going for 315/70/17 BFG KO2s like Ford?

That is what I am running on my Gladiator.

“These improvements put the Wrangler ahead of the Bronco with a 47.1-degree approach and 40.4 departure angles. Other improved numbers are ground clearance at 12.9 inches and water fording depth at 33.6 inches.”
Sweet so they do come with 315 KO2s!

So the question is, does Jeep get the jump on the Bronco pickup by offering this in the JT as well?

Jeep has been a bit bi polar on the JT. On the one hand they want to tout its off road chops. Otoh, they've gone out of their way to distance it from Wrangler, by emphasizing that it is a truck that does truck stuff.

I could see them waiting to see what direction Ford goes. One early rumor and every speculative render has shown a Bronco pickup with a sub 5' bed. This and a shorter wheelbase would attack the JTs breakover and departure.

If that's the the way Ford goes, Jeep will need to get ahead of it with lift/tires. If Ford goes 5' bed and 4 door, Jeep may keep this in their back pocket.

Yup, Jeep needs to offer the 'Mammoth package' for the JT with stock 40" tires, Dana 60s, 5.13 gears, with a no-cost upgrade/conversion for existing JT owners with a restarted 3-year warranty from the date of install.

What's the departure angle for the 2 door Rubicon?

The fact that this teaser is on the rear bumper make me wonder if it's the 2 door departure on 35s/lift.

The link I posted before said the package was 4 door only, but that would still give Ford the edge, as the Sasquatch can be had on both.
the front and rear are the same on the 2 door and 4 door, just the brake over angle are diff

New images this morning. Guessing the water is for water depth, and maybe 47.4 is approach angle? No guess on the other two

12.9? What does that one represent? The rest kinda speak for their selves.

Kinda hummocky terrain - could have something to do with suspension travel? ?‍♂

Approach angle
Crawl ratio
Water fording
Ground clearance

Each matches the leak from Overland Expo, and confirmed by the journo under embargo on the JL forum.

A poster speculated the 100:1 comes from the optional 4.88 gears, 4:1 t-case and manual first gear ratio.

Fits with how Jeep likes to advertise a capability claim while glossing over the fine print.

Edit: It's also how Ford originally claimed best crawl ratio... specifying the manual with the crawler gear and 4.7 gears.
