Gaia GPS reportedly on Android Auto?

It works through android auto, I used it a bit the last couple weeks driving some trails. It's not nearly as useful as the actually android app, but it's kind of nice having a slightly larger screen without breaking out the tablet.

I'm not a beta tester nor do I have an account and it was on my Android auto screen this weekend. I opened it and looked around but didn't try any routing

I'm not a beta tester and it was on my Android auto screen this weekend.
Iinnnterresting....im excited to check it out when I get home. Always liked gaia

This is what I ended up doing. iPad Mini, 256 gig, cell (GPS), with Gaia GPS Premium and mounted. I read somewhere that the Gaia will only display on your screen and all operations would be done on the phone, so I just went ahead and got the iPad Mini. Some people claimed Gaia worked better on Apple then on Android which swayed me to Apple. If I was to do it over I would try a cheaper Android tablet without GPS and less storage, then get something like a Garmin Inreach to Bluetooth location to the tablet. That would be more versatile and saved me a little cash. All in all I'm very happy with the setup.

Id go with that Garmin Overloand Hand-held if it wasn't, well, just a Hand-held. Hard to justify the price tag on that thing. I think you did it right. Still have some versatility
