I started noticing small drops in the garage at 1,100 miles, but decided to wait until I took it in for its first oil change at 5k miles to address the issue. It was a small leak and I have been keeping an eye on it. (It did drop a quart over the 5k miles and I topped it off with the proper oil.) The dealer acknowledged there was a leak, but said they couldn't determine where it was coming from. They changed the oil and put dye in it. Told me to drive it a while and bring it back.
Today, I crawled under it with a flashlight and started looking up from where the drip is landing.
It appears to be coming from between where the two black pieces of the block are bolted together. Is that a simple RTV seal that may have failed?
In the picture, you can see the shiny oil on the bottom side, but it's not on the top. When I ran my finger over the area that joins them, it had a slight bit of oil on it.
Your thoughts?

Clean the area thoroughly with some dish detergent one evening. Check it the next morning or right when you get to work after a commute. Start working your way up. BTW, your dealership could easily have done this.

Any update as to what they found?
We haven't taken it back yet. My wife needs the truck and can't drop it off for a day now. She is going out of town in about a month and I'll probably drop it then. Until then, I'll just keep a pile of Oil Dri under the spot.

I have wet areas but nothing that has dripped. Typically unless it drips the manufactures don't call it a leak. I would rather live with a wet belly pan than have the dealer tear into something they probably can't fix anyway.

I feel ya and who knows what will happen next if it goes through "open heart surgery".
The EcoDiesel is a great fit for what we needed and I was fine with the $4k premium for that engine, but accepting a constant stain in the garage is just disappointing.

Well mine has a leak also. If you guys remember I had a 2020 Ram with this same engine that had a timing cover leak almost 2 years ago and now this Jeep is leaking from the timing cover except on the opposite side. What a joke.

How many will Jeep replace before they correct the problem?

Uggghh... Hate to hear that. I follow your YouTube channel and frequent the "lake" that you camp at sometimes. Even watched you for some tractor advice. Lol
I can deal with having an issue. Just fix it and let's keep moving. My Jeep service experience has been horrible though. Toyota doesn't make a cool, convertible, diesel truck with a solid front axle, but they know how to take care of service issues.
