What's an "SFA swap"? Apologies if that's a moronic question. I can't refute my own stupidity sometimes, ha ha.

It looks very capable, but IS IT as much as a JT with the same (or less) money spent on the right stuff? It's pretty and impressive looking but is it likely as impressive performing on serious trails?

Obviously I am NOT well versed (at all) on off-roading but I am curious.

SFA would be solid front axle, like our JTs. The Tacoma comes with an independent front suspension - I’ll leave the other questions to folks more knowledgeable.

I traded in a really nice - and heavily modded - one for my Rubi JT. I want nothing to do with them thank you. I don't care how many mods.

Actually that’s the whole issue if you have to mod something that much to make it acceptable maybe it’s not what you want or need in the first place.

Agreed, that was my thought when posting. It looks great if that’s your thing, but how much could have been saved/used elsewhere if he had started closer to the end goal from stock?

I wish I’d thought of that before I went down the Tacoma rabbit hole. My problem was I was stuck in in the Toyota rut and really couldn’t imagine buying anything else. It took the JT to pry me out of it and now I feel like I’ve been born again! ???
