3” is right on the edge IMO. If you are looking for cost effective way to run 40s I would look at an AEV lift or a Mopar lift + front spacer + geometry correction brackets + adjustable front track bar. This is assuming you are getting a Rubicon with high clearance fenders. If not, you will still need high clearance fenders when stuffed, but “should” be fine without the fenders if not really off roading.
I think everyone here knew both of those were Jeep putting out garbage. The one @DirkG put together was known to be much closer since it was an existing color, googling Gecko Jeep brought up plenty of examples of the actual color as well. If I had ordered before seeing the color expecting it to be the same color as the released photoshops I would have been angry but that also would have been my own damn fault. Even after the JLs started arriving I saw people that still thought the Gladiator Gecko was going to be a completely different color than the JL Gecko.
The released photo was Mojito! or close to it. I have no idea why Jeep did such a poor job on those photos but yeah it was lousy. I'm feeling snarky so I guess my response is I'd spend 5 minutes looking into a color before I special ordered a $50k vehicle and so my sympathy level here is low.
I saw a Gecko JL they other day........looks the same as before
I didn't order one because I wanted to see it in person or at least of real pic of a JT in gecko.
It will be a few years before that happens.
When does the window sticker actually show up? On 9/20 mine was complete but waiting on additional equipment, guessing bedliner. No updates since. Surely any additionally equipment has been installed in the last 2 days. Just waiting on that window sticker...
Weird covid related shortage. They are missing the paper for window stickers so they can't print them. They laid off the guy that types up and prints the window stickers. They got the paper back in finally but can't find a guy to type the stickers up so they can't ship any trucks because they don't have stickers.
Mine has been built and waiting to ship for a week and still no sticker.
