Ok the people who get on these posts just to make "clever" comment about how people need to be patient and these are first world problems are ridiculous. You are not being original when you are the tenth person to make a similar comment. The person has the right to start getting frustrated when jeep keeps giving dates and changing again and again. This isn't the beginning of the pandemic/supply issues and jeep knows of shortages and longer time lines. They should be able to either give more accurate dates now knowing delays or give dates further out knowing things will get pushed back.
Really?
Sure they have the right to be frustrated, but what do you expect?
Supply chains all over the world are affected with delays. My shop wants to order a tandem axle snowplow and we’re told it will be 16 MONTHS!
What’s so “ridiculous” about a people commenting about being patient? Explain how to give “accurate” dates on supply issues?
Is every post in this thread supposed to be “original”?
Lighten up!

Yes this is true ...

What is also true is that your $50,000 truck would be $75,000 if every part was produced here ...

Then people would be complaining about the price ... Trade one issue for another ...

Yeah ...
Exactly!

I unfortunately get Los Angeles local news out here in the middle of the Mojave. They have updates on container ships almost as often as weather and traffic updates.
All I can say is if you are extremely impatient you should moonlight as a truck driver.
Currently there are 73 container ships anchored off of Long Beach because there is nowhere to unload the containers. The docks and hundreds of acres of storage are completely full. There are no trucks to move what is unloaded.
For reference the 73 ships have approximately 600,000 containers on them. 600,000!
Your parts are probably just bobbing around in the ocean. Can’t get them on trucks, can’t get them in rail, they just sit and wait.
I’m assuming that’s not going to make anyone any happier, but with all of the folks upset with Oracle, Jeep, and anybody else that owes you a product, complaining isn’t going to speed up the problem at all.
Have to stop these damn checks and make folks get back to work. Seems pride is a lost virtue in America.

That's what i've been saying - knowing truck drivers personally. They need drivers/trucks.
