Well, since it's a MD Jeepers meetup, it has to be a Natty Boh (tall can, of course), right?
Done, but if I'm drinking local brew it's either Crooked Crab, Jailbreak or Heavy Seas.........but since your enabling me to buy a Gecko Glad.......Natty Boh it is lol

I was just informed the car got there today and they immediately reached out to me. I sent them the info they wanted in advance of me picking it up, which leads me to believe they have their stuff together and I won't be there for hours like a typical dealer experience.

They asked for my Affiliate Reward/Tread Lightly membership letter and number, and included the 1% discount in the price they sent me again, so that's good. I'm trying to work out logistics for picking it up, so hopefully tomorrow I will have keys in hand.
A little frustrated as I have not heard back from Chapman since sending all of the documents they requested yesterday. They said all they needed to do was the PPI and gas it up. Well, how long does that take?

Like most of us when ordering from the volume dealers, I have to arrange logistics for picking up my car. If it won’t be ready until a certain time then fine, but let me know so I can plan it out. I always assume the worst when I reach out and hear nothing in response . Ok, rant over. I just want my car.

The wrangler we ordered came in to them yesterday too. (3.5 weeks vs almost 3 months and still waiting for my gladiator). We called yesterday after not hearing back after the same email and was told it was a large delivery and “hopefully” they could have it ready today (Saturday). Was told someone would be calling. Guess I’ll be glued to the phone all day.

Ever get your call today? I called Ashlie. She said they got hit with 8-9 trucks of delivered vehicles, so I guess they’re working their way through those. Still no estimate of when I can pick mine up.

I went a slightly different route. I called said “I’m on my way”. I’m only 40 mins away. They said “uhhh we have to PDI and detail it we got a lot of cars”. I said ok sounds good I’ll see ya soon. We were in and out of the finance office in 10 mins. Took about 2 hours in total and we were on the road in the wrangler

lol.. Maybe that’s the way to do it. Skip the swirl inducing dealer car wash, spare me the VIN etching BS, and give me my keys.

Bingo.

Since I was able to buy local, I'm only a 25 minute drive from the dealer

Easiest deal ever. The detail and prep was 90% of the time. Went into the finance office, they had the quoted price plus tags and doc. They offered all kinds of up sales and warranties but 0 pressure. I’d recommend Chapman to anyone who asks.

I have emailed them several times and its like pulling teeth to get a response. Guess they don’t want another sale.

I had a hard time getting a response from them as well after they got slammed with a bunch of vehicles. Tom did respond and let me know it was in and what docs they needed to go through with the sale and delivery, then I didn't hear back for a couple of days.

I acknowledge that us forum folks can be a little, uhh, intense, compared to a normal sale, but I wouldn't have minded an email saying "Hey, we're slammed, it might be a couple days until you can pick it up." It's fine, I pick it up on Friday and, from everything I've heard, it should be a smooth process.

Hahaha I will agree that we are a lil more intense. And agreed I get that they are busy but a simple response would go miles. Even if they said I’ll get back to you next week.

I had a Bronco on order before moving on to the Gladiator, so I still peek in on one of its forums from time to time. Apparently, Tom had such a bad experience with the frothing crowd there that he rescinded his under invoice offer on Broncos.

Having lived through the shitshow that was the Bronco rollout and the molded top production, I can understand why the Bronco folks are a little twitchy about things. But chasing off an honest dealer when there are still too many playing the ADM game isn't smart. Yes, we all want our vehicles as soon as possible, but we sometimes you gotta take a breath, step back, and realize some things are out of our control.

It was actually a deal he was offering on the Bronco Raptor that caused all the problems. It got ugly and Tom decided to take a break from the forums. Typical keyboard commandos with too much lip ruin things for everyone else.

Damn ppl can be a holes. I went on the bronco forums once and couldn’t get over how they were all speaking to each other in their own community. I’m in no rush in the sense that I need the vehicle. I just want communication. Trying to get my finances straight.
