For anyone thinking about the Rough Country 3 1/2” coil spring lift with the basic shock kit, I recommend it. This past week, I put that kit on, with their dual steering stabilizer, pedal commander, and 37x12.5x17 BFG KO2’s. Here’s what I can tell you for my first ~500 miles- maybe it’ll help someone else:
- the lift is a little stiffer than my stock Rubi suspension with 33K miles, but that was expected
- Though it’s difficult to see with the slant to my driveway, the truck is pretty damn close to level
- The steering stabilizer seems to work pretty well- my first trip was 220 miles each way, interstate driving- minimal steering slop. Better than factory
- Pedal commander is night and day
- KO2’s feel pretty good. I still like open country rt‘s more, but they weren’t readily available.
- The tire shop didn’t think 37’s would clear… they do fairly easily
- Oddly enough, my mpg increased by 1.1 on the highway and close to two mpg in town after all of this. I used procal to adjust the speedo
