For anyone thinking about the Rough Country 3 1/2” coil spring lift with the basic shock kit, I recommend it. This past week, I put that kit on, with their dual steering stabilizer, pedal commander, and 37x12.5x17 BFG KO2’s. Here’s what I can tell you for my first ~500 miles- maybe it’ll help someone else:
  • the lift is a little stiffer than my stock Rubi suspension with 33K miles, but that was expected
  • Though it’s difficult to see with the slant to my driveway, the truck is pretty damn close to level
  • The steering stabilizer seems to work pretty well- my first trip was 220 miles each way, interstate driving- minimal steering slop. Better than factory
  • Pedal commander is night and day
  • KO2’s feel pretty good. I still like open country rt‘s more, but they weren’t readily available.
  • The tire shop didn’t think 37’s would clear… they do fairly easily
  • Oddly enough, my mpg increased by 1.1 on the highway and close to two mpg in town after all of this. I used procal to adjust the speedo

I did not. Was never really too bad for me, well, not enough to justify spending half a day at the dealer, lol.

Well, you'd know if you needed the extra stabilizer or if you didn't.

Yeah, I had quite a few conversations around that topic, and for the $150, I said “what the hell?” Kept the OEM stabilizer, just in case I didn’t notice improvement. Again, I feel some improvement, which I’d say is more than $150 worth. I have heard others say a dual kit cause death wobble (knocks on wood) but I can’t speak to that.

Looks good! did you happen to take before/after measurements to know if the RC lift gave 3.5" exactly or if it was more/less?

How much lift in the rear?

thanks! I didn’t do measurements in the front before, but I did get right at 3” of lift in the rear. I’ll say that the front is every bit of 3 1/2” because of the difference in climbing in.
