You must have missed the part of the post where I said I don't fly these while driving unless I'm cruising the beach. These are for hanging out at Jeep shows and on the beach.
I understood you didn't unless you were on the beach...however there are plenty of videos of people driving down freeways and city streets with flags a flyin, I do not criticize one for being patriotic, even when it comes to supporting your favorite teams, but the roads are not the place (again not you, just the ones that drive down roads and highways)

Just because you Canadians don't see a benefit in it, doesn't mean others don't value it. Keep your snide comments to yourself and north of the border..........
I guess in TN opinions do not matter (oh wait, free speach being censored, lol), and I didn't say that there is no value for someone else....In your wisdom, what is the "value" of flying flags off the back of vehicles when on roads and highways? just curious on your opinion

I still see alot of American flags in Southern Ohio on different vehicles. Predominantly trucks and jeeps.

Canadians are always welcome in Texas.
Texas is like our Alberta, lots of oil, mixed with ranches and farms, and lots of land (Alberta just does not have a coastline, but will never get a hurricane, tornadoes, yes, hurricane, no, lol). I've never been, but would love to get down there eventually in the next couple years, once all this COVID border regulations crap is done with

Can't deny that. I have a flagpole holder on the front of my house as well as the back of my house (the back faces the golf course) and I have a bunch of flags that I like to rotate through. The below picture was taken a few years ago, but I probably have twice as many flags now.

That being said, I'm not one of those that flies flags from the bed of my truck 24/7, yelling Yee-Yee at everyone. There's a dignified way of doing it, but there's many people around here that don't understand that.
I agree with you completely. There’s a tasteful way to do it. You have it right.

Talk about "free speech being censored'........" Wow, this from the man who says "why do you want to fly a flag from your jeep?"
Flags are literally an expression of speech or belief or stance, etc. If this man wants to fly a flag from his jeep at the beach or wherever else he wants to, then that is his right to do so and his "freedom of speech."
You replied one hour after he posted and said you didn't see any reason to do this. I could feel the wind come out of his sails and so I said what I said and I stand by it.

So if some don’t agree with others posts and say so, that IS freedom of speech. Right?
I think flags are great and appear to be a dwindling display.
When I was much younger they appeared to be more prominently
displayed. Not so much here now. I actually had someone steal our national flag off my flagpole in my backyard.
I was royally pissed.

Mark.....my posts on this are to get information....I asked questions, since I do not see a point in the flying of flags off the back of vehicles (obstructs views of traffic and could distract other drivers on the road) I wanted to get the OP's opinion on why some might do this. He did state that he does not fly on public roads, just when he is at events, and I can see that from a pride perspective (even if it is for the Astros,? ), and I could even see that as a pride perspective on roads but to potentially put someone else's life in jeopardy, to me, is not responsible....regardless.....you be you, I'll just disagree with the action of flying flags off the back of vehicles....

OP, sorry for the hijacking of your thread, I'll say again, the mount does look good

Booneja, I do appreciate your last post and let me say that as a sixth-generation Tennessean and Southerner, I have been a bit "sensitive" with many of the PC actions that are happening across the south with the removing of monuments and historic revisionism. As such, the flag thing hit a nerve with me.
That said, I suppose I did "come out of the shute" a bit harsh in my comment. For that, I am sorry.

And yes, OP sorry we kinda took your thread away.

Let me just say...Tennessee is God's country and without it, Texas wouldn't even exist.

no worries at all...they are doing the same up here with the removal of historic figures, including our first Prime Minister....a little ridiculous.

I have an aim-n-flame that'll be perfect for those cheatin' Trashtros flags.
Funny because that's why I've always hated the Braves. Chipper Jones, in particular, was a POS.
