The limited availability of Gecko Green was the only reason I decided to buy a Gladiator. That sucks that they are making it available again.
This is exactly the same reason I ordered Gecko. I feel your displeasure, and I don't even
have my truck yet. It's supposed to be in next week.

I'm going to go out on a limb and say Gecko will be the 1st limited edition color. I can't see them stopping it and then restarting it later in the year. I bet the only reason it made it to MY22 is because they weren't able to produce as many as they planned in MY21 due to shutdowns and shortages.
I have been thinking this exact thing. I put my 2020 on the market today in anticipation. I may be pulling the trigger a little early, but that's okay. More time to save for a larger down payment.

What do people think about Gecko not being in the first month's MY22 order guide? Seems weird they'd stop offering it and then bring it back.

I’d suspect they left Gecko off the ‘monthly-but-posted-every-3rd-month’ order guide but it is still available for order. All someone would have to do is verify with a dealer.

I forgot about it not being available for order right now. Will be interesting to see if it's offered or not.

Don't forget another gray. Lol

And baby poop brown? That sounds like a description of Gator not Gobi. This is Gobi. One of the most fitting colors released on the Gladiator. I think a Gobi Willys will look badass.

The First Gladiator I took home for a weekend test drive was a Gobi Rubicon. It sure looked good in my garage!

Well it's not available to order yet. Things are always subject to change. Either buy it in hopes they don't bring it back for 2022. Or refuse delivery and wait it out. Either one is a risk.

Gecko was originally a very popular color in 2013. And the 2021 run was pretty short. So they could bring it back to capitalize on that popularity. I have already seen many Gecko JLs and I know there is at least one JT local. In comparison I've seen one Nacho JT besides mine. And it ran longer than the Gecko 2021 run.

I have, with 2 different dealers. They cannot order in Gecko.
Maybe they have 'paused' all short-run color availability until they get caught up & begin '22 production? ?

I will buy my Gecko JT when it gets here. I'm thrilled with the color, whether they have Gecko back
in 2022 or not. What I am not thrilled with is them not honoring our agreed upon price when I
ordered over 3 months ago. They assured me I have to pay the new sticker price. I'm sure they
would not care if I walked away. But I will take it. Looks like there is a possibility of 0% financing...

You know I have been seeing that. Even though I'm not getting it now, the Gecko I ordered ended up being less than when I ordered it.

So if we assume the fleet guide is correct then I agree something like this must be going on. Maybe there is less work to swapping a color or taking a bay offline than I think there is. It’s just surprising to me they’d be running Jeeps into a Gecko bay, then stopping for a period of months, then resuming. And, the fleet guide’s egregious typo with Firecracker Red doesn’t engender confidence.

I assume changing colors is running some sort of cleaner through the paint robots and pouring a new color into a hopper. It can't be too complicated to switch between them but I wouldn't expect them to start and stop colors once they are doing a run of them.

It's probably more profitable for them to keep running different shades of grey with the, assumed, limited number of parts on hand than to continue taking orders for oddball colors.

You can have any color you want as long as it's grey.
