Cadillac has a go at my rock slider

At about 930 this morning the police called me to let me know that my vehicle was involved in an accident in our parking garage at work. I assumed someone just bumped into me parking but walked out to find this (and yes, I normally park straight):

Cadillac was totaled and was towed away

Had a dude side swipe my wife JTR with the same results. his camery was trashed her truck needed to be buffed out and had light dent removal.The rock rail damage was all cosmetic.

No kidding. And is responsible for 2 vehicles' damage.
Concrete in those structures is normally textured so as to not be slick. It would take a lot to slide those tires on that concrete, IMO.

LOL. My wife said the same thing - why’d you park like that!
Sadly this is part of the reason for getting steel bumpers and rock rails.
When I saw the Cadillac, I was like damn there is 100% going to be body damage to my truck. Not so. Even saved the fender on the driver side kissing the SUV.

VA Hospital garage with multiple cameras. I can’t wait to see it too but have to wait for them to send me official report. Based on how his front looked he definitely climbed under the rock rail and carried the truck over.
If I would have just tried to back up I would have taken her entire front end off with my driver side rear wheel.

I would still get the frame checked. Although it appears that nothing happened to your truck the amount of energy to laterally move a truck like that still needed to be absorbed by something, better safe than sorry.

LMFAO just now. Exactly right, but hurts me deep inside in a different way thinking people think I park like that. I saved footage from my dash cam just in case parking comes into question.

For sure it’s going to get a close inspection. I agree just bc it looks ok doesn’t make it so.

Our Gladiators do stick out don't they ? I have also been worried about such a hit. Nothing you could have done....

BTW, in normal parking lots, if there is room, I usually climb over the parking stop, and put my front tire on the other side of it --- lining up the long rear with other cars....

Right. I think the good part is he likely got his car under it, based on his damage, and picked the bed up with his car and dolly’d it over into the other car. There is no rubber on the ground FWIW.
