I reserved my 2021 Willys edition Gladiator in Sarge Green back at the end of November. It was during my local dealers Black Friday sales event. Although I did not order the vehicle, I saw it posted on line and placed a deposit on it and the dealership put my name on it as if I did order it. The vehicle is built (as of Dec. 1st) and was released for shipment but has yet to arrive here in Newport News, VA. I can drive to Toledo in less than a day. I was given three arrival dates and all but the last one stating it is to arrive between 7 and 13 Dec. 2021.

You haven't paid much attention to how these things get to dealers have you?

In short. When your truck is done it waits until enough Jeeps accumulate to justify a train trip to your part of the country. It may sit for a few days waiting to get on a train.

Then its dropped off within a couple hundred miles of your dealer. And it sits until enough Jeeps accumulate there to justify loading up a truck to make a run to your dealer. That may also take several days to a couple of weeks.

Its the process.

Yes I read that. It was very informative! I also read many, many posts where owners Gladiators were delivered to the dealership within a week of being released for shipment. I have the POC. Since Dec 1st the truck has been listed as "In Transit". I was then given two separate dates for delivery. Now my dealer stated that it is still sitting in Toledo since November. It was ordered on Jun 11, 2021. with an estimated ship date of Nov 22 2021. It has now been 3 weeks. It's status states KZ = released by plant and invoiced. The VON is 49688156.

Yup some get to the dealer in a week.

And some take 3 weeks. If you are aware of that variability, well then??

How the hell is Jeep making any money? Maybe that's why they cost so damn much - they have to make up for inventory just sitting around.
