Silver sticker, door jamb, look on that sticker for MDH - that stands for Month, Day and Hour
110506 would mean November 5th at 0600 hours or 6am.
Elsewhere on the sticker you find the year it was built - this gives more detail.

I'm in the leaking rear window group, they're processing the warranty claim right now. Although I've heard horror stories regarding the replacements and I don't want to re-buy my decals on the back window. I'm tempted to try the fixes other users on the forum have posted.

Silver sticker on the door jam, in the corner there's a MDH with numbers following that. That's the Month, Day, hour of build
So if it's a 2021 with a MDH of 101516 it was built October 15th of 2020 at 1600 hours
Did you mean 10-15-21 since it’s a 2021 model and it’s in October…or did I miss something?

A vehicle built in October 2020 is going to be a 2021 model year. The changeover tends to happen around late summer.

Mine is 10/02/21 and it's a 2021. Possibly the date is fixed when the order is accepted? I ordered 7/22...

MDH is Month Day HOUR - the MDH does not give the year. The model year is elsewhere on the decal or sticker.

I was just tossing out numbers for examples.

Assume a model year Gladiator of 2021

It may have an MDH of 011507 (just for an example only)
which would mean- 01 for January and 15 for the 15th day and the 07 would be 0700 hours or 7am
It's a 2021 as shown on the sticker elsewhere, the MDH states that 2021 model year truck was built on January 15th (assume 2021 since it's January build date)

Another example - assume a door jamb sticker has this MDH - just for kicks, example -
MDH 011507 -
01 = January
15 =15th day of that month
07 = the hour or 7am
That's JUST an example.
So for any given MDH it will not give you the MODEL year, you have to know that or get it from another part of that sticker.
A model year vehicle, depending on the year, the maker (Ford, GM, Jeep, whatever) will be made starting in the prior year and continue just past the middle of the following year.
Some vehicles - EXAMPLE - model year 2006 would be made starting in September 2005 and going through August 2006.
A 1970 car could have easily been made in September 1969 or in July of 1970.
Similar for a 2020 Gladiator - may have been made in August 2019 or in June of 2020

Mine is 10/02/21 and it's a 2021. Possibly the date is fixed when the order is accepted? I ordered 7/22...
No. The MDH is the real actual time it was on the line being completed.
If your MDH is 100221 that 21 is NOT the year, it's the hour the truck was completed.
100221 means 10 = October; 02 = 2nd day of October; 21 = hour 21 of the second day of October.

The MDH has nothing to do with the model year.
M = month, D = date or day, H= hour of that date.

Doesn't matter when you order a vehicle, that date will never be on a door jamb decal and won't be used to calculate anything.
They must comply with regulations that exist at the time the thing is made and they must show the date it was made to show it was in compliance with any regulations in effect at the time of manufacture.
The dates will always be exactly when it was produced, regardless of when it was ordered or the order was accepted.
If you order a truck in July and there are regulations set to change, come into effect, or expire in August and the truck is made late August, it has to show it complied with the rules in force when it was made, so they have to reflect when it was actually made. They can't say "it was ordered in July so we'll comply with July rules".

The exact time a vehicle's model year changes can vary with years and maker, etc.
In this time of covid and supply chain issues - it's not easy to say that because October was the start of the next model year last year thus it will be for next year as well. It's a general rule they try to be consistent but the world has changed.

This year was weird because of COVID and supply chain issues. There’s no hard and fast rule for when they change model years, just knowing when they “typically” change. Most brands are fairly consistent year to year, but they can do it whenever they want. Not all brands use thee same time either.

RAM HD trucks tend to not change model years until December or even January.

Interesting note on mine - body colored top. When washing it in certain light I note that the top is just very slightly different in how the metallic shows in the light. It can look VERY VERY slightly lighter than the body and if you walk around the back, the side looks maybe a touch darker. That tells me the top was not sitting as it would when installed when it was sprayed. Rule of painting cars with metallic paint - if you have the hood and doors of, lay than at installed angles and positions before painting them as the metallic effect will otherwise make them appear different.

I'd get it fixed before the warranty runs out!!!

I am currently waiting for my new top because they couldn't get all the water out. Justification for replacement...when that water freezes and expands, the top can crack and such. Jeep agreed to replace it under warranty. Just waiting for it to come in at my dealership. It was ordered end of November. Was told it'd be here mid/end of January. Still waiting.

I will. I actually plan to bring it up when I go for my next "jeep wave" oil change.

Got a call in to service now. We'll see how they take care of it...
2021 Gladiator Sport. Right rear axle leak.

20220107_131228[1].jpg
Here's an update to the leaking axle. At least in my case.
"Yes, we need to replace the right axle assembly," says the service coordinator.
"You can come get it and drive it as it might take a week or two months to get the parts."
I get down to the dealer to pick it up and I ask, "How Long will it be?"
"Let me call the parts guy," says he.
Well, the parts guy found one at another dealer and is having it shipped overnight.
So I have an appointment Monday to get it replaced.
I'm told you need to contact Jeep Wave to get a loaner car or a rental. Is that right?
