JBL Club 6x9 reviews

Purchased the sound bar MB Quart 6x9 adapter and I'm still trying to decide what speakers to use. I am looking at the JBL Club 9632's. Anybody run these with the Premium Bass package, no amp? Reviews? Maybe suggest another brand that sounds good without external amp.

I bought a set of the adapters but haven’t installed them, having second thoughts after seeing what is involved in fitting them.

I put in the club 8620's (6x9s). I think they sound pretty good. Details in my build thread.

Was not hat much work, took the sound bar out, and used my jigsaw to cut the holes out.

I put these in my gladiator in December, I don't have the premium alpine system but they were definitely an improvement.
I'm not running an amp either.

This was my post on it, it really didn't take long and I didn't even bother taking the sound bar out. Definitely made a mess though..

I will say, as much as I don't want to waste the space I think I need a sub, my bottom end is lacking.

If you want plug and play without cutting anything look at the Select Increments JLJT pods.

Yes, I have looked for every bit of information before coming here. I think they have so little on these is because this model just came out last spring, maybe?

Don't get your hopes up if you're not going to run an external amp... I tried that route powering off the Alpine oem speaker wires and they didnt sound much better than oem until i powered them with kicker's 4x50 dsp amp. You can run the wires from the amp and tap into the speaker wire going up the pass b pillar.

Were u able to compound the power to the speakers? Or would that backfeed into the system and fry everything? I'm trying to avoid cutting and splicing oe harness. Not looking for competition sound, just hoping to get a lil more volume and clarity/quality over oe.
