I totally agree. I think all gladiators are Butt ugly until they are lifted with larger tires. I have an almost fully loaded rubicon and still thought it was hideous but I already had a vision for it when I bought it. Before and After.

1) Would you rather have a stock Colorado or stock Ranger compared to a stock Gladiator?

#2) Is a stock Ranger or a stock Colorado better looking then a stock Gladiator? I don't look but it may be and you all might all chime in. All base model 4WD with 4 doors??

My stock Canyon All Terrain was a lot better looking than my stock gladiator. Now it’s debatable, my Canyon was a good looking truck.

We are now up to a total of 5 Jeeps in our family! But I’m not going to lie a no option stock JT is not very sexy. It’s kinda ugly.

Not trying to offend anyone. The tiny 245’s on steelie wheels and no sliders drives me crazy. On another note it drives great down the road.

Personally I think the Willy's, Rubicon and Mojave look pretty good stock.
The nice thing about the Rubicon and Mojave is you can add 35's in the stock configuration.
There are even a couple of companies that make 35 x 11.50 which can go on a 7.5 rim which is a bonus.
You have the look, your in spec for the rim so all good, not to mention your only out the price of a set of tires instead of lift, shocks, rims etc. at least in the beginning.

We have sold quite a few of these OverCab racks because people didn’t like the stock boxy look of the JT. The rack

adds a little robustness…. And some great functionality.

I think the stock Sport/S is the main reason for the "butt ugly" responses. My Sport S was the same way. The next morning (after bringing her home) I floored it to the wheel shop.

That being said, I think the Rubicon and Mojave with their optional wheels (respectively) look great even as stock.

MY issue is this. We are going to use our sport s max tow to tow a 6000 lb travel trailer around the country off the beaten path for dispersed camping and boondocking. Mods, larger tires, metal bumpers and winches add weight and affect the towing I want to do. I drool on the mods, but really need as much of the stock sport s as possible for the towing and cargo, etc.

So how does one avoid their gladiator from looking like a total stock turd but keep the purpose we have it for? It cannot negatively affect the towing.

Suggestions welcome.

That’s my situation as well. I went with graphics for visual fun. Will eventually seal out for better looking stock-size wheels. I love the way it drives. In addition, loading motorcycles into the bed of a lifted truck is no fun without a loading dock. So haters be damned!
I would like to supercharge it some day… extra long range fuel tank?

sounds like I might go the same route. More visuals for now. Supercharger on the long term list.

let me know if you notice any change in the towing from the stocks. What was the weight change in payload after the tire change?
