I search and couldn’t find any threads on it but has anyone put Mojave take off shocks on a sport ? Looking for any info you might have in terms of the shock bushings being a different size and where to mount the remote res. On the front shocks
I am looking to put them on my sport S.

I was also wondering if I could run my sport s rear springs with the Mojave shocks or will I have to buy the Mojave rear springs ?

I believe you just need to enlarge one of the holes for the front shock mount and use larger bolts. Shouldn’t be any problem using any of the JT rear springs with those shocks.

Go to Fox's web site, in accessories they have a universal bracket for mounting the reservoir. It will mount to vertical piece of steel at each side of radiator above the frame rails. If you look for a video on their site for mounting reservoir shocks on a JL or JT you will get process and exact location.

I have no answer on shock bushings and shock mounting brackets, I would think they're all the same size.

The front bushing is a different size. The Mojave uses a larger bolt.

I did this to my Rubi.. Should be the same setup..
Go to Lowe's and get a piece of sheet metal. Cut a strip out and roll it up to use as a bushing for the upper shock mount in the front. The rest of the mounts are the same size.
The front reservoir will mount in the original location. The bolts aren't there but it's not hard to find the size and get some.. Hope this helps.. :)

My question is, if you were able to remove the full bushing housing from the shock, when you put the sheet metal in, would you be able to remove the bushing housing from the stock shock, and swap them out ?

the Mojave has much better quality shocks then the sport or even the rubicon. So I am looking to add the Mojave shocks to my sport s
I gotcha, more HD? I have the mojave and am thinking about switching to the overland, because mine isn't a smooth ride.

Don't do it. You have the best riding of all JTs.
Chad, mine rides like shit, bro. My rubicon before it actually rode better. I think the overland will ride the best because it doesn't have a lift and has smaller tires.

I'm sure the overland will be the best riding of all the trims but not near as capable off road.

JET_83 post up pics of your Mojave so we can see your set up. We may be able to help point you in the right direction of your terrible riding Mojave.

load range with larger wheels plays a big part In ride quality
