I personally can’t remember the last time it was this high per barrel.

I spent over $1,000 to put LP in the 500 gallon tank (350 gallons) for my shop. Looks like I'm losing money this season. I normally don't really "make" and real "profit" but it's a sure bet this time I won't be.

Yes. It's expensive. $4.29 in Pennsylvania on the Mason/Dixon line.

California for the win. They say all trends start here before they sweep the country. You’re welcome!

I have taken my sustainable 2005 Civic 5 speed manual with 265000 miles out of hibernation. 40mpg all day baby. Regular gas, and leaks enough oil I don't have to do oil changes. Then when it warms up a bit more I'm doing bike life every day 40 mpg+, these guys won't see big dollars off of me

I think it's time for a firewall against those "trends" LOL.
I love California fruits and veggies, SOME of the tech, etc. - but can't you guys keep some things for yourself? Maybe be a bit selfish this time?

This does make me wish I still had my Maxim 750, the black beauty but then, after temps in the 60s with tornadoes, we are now dealing with snow and ice, temps in the 20s, and it's going to get into single digits after mid-week. The bike wouldn't do me much good, I'm afraid. I wimp out when it's under 55 on such a machine.

Last week: $3.79 at Costco
This week: $4.25 at Costco

No California, but still.

Only 3 states have state gas taxes over $.50/gallon. PA, CA, WA. That's not including the federal gas tax.

I don't mind temps down into the 40s when riding, I just dress accordingly.
But if there's any chance of ice, or the sand hasn't been swept yet, I won't ride.

At least I live close enough to ID that I can drive over and save 20-30¢/gallon.

gas prices in the boonies? I remember driving through utah 15 years ago and almost running out of gas before I hit arches national park. Price were double the stations before and after.
Add injury to insult, hail cracked my windshield while sitting there and looking at some rocks. hahaha

Some states hide it better than others.
CT's gas tax is "only" $.25/gallon.
However, there is also an additional 8.1% petroleum products gross earnings tax in CT. Basically it's a tax the retailer pays on wholesale gas purchases. Considering most retailers only make a few cents per gallon profit, it's safe to say that PGET gets passed to the consumer. It's probably also safe to say wholesale prices are well over $4/gal now. So add at least another 30-40 cents worth of tax to the official 25 cents.
